Is it technically legal for stores like that to sell it before the release date?

No, the guy at Borders reprimanded me for about ten minutes, going on about breach of contract with the publishers and how I shouldn't be trying to get it early and all this stuff.

sometimes it isn't even the book, but the strictness (or non-strictness) of the manager working when you go. Some managers at my store didn't care, and would sell it to you anyways, but others were just complete sticklers for "store protocol" lol

My dad works in the music business and was mad that Barnes and Noble was selling stuff early, but got the book for my anyway

I informed my friend today that Anthony was in School Ties and A Beautiful Mind and she just stared at me... and then told me she'd watch them with me XD (She's already seen them). We definitely spent a good hour looking at Anthony (and Adam) stuff. Oh my, I have *no* life.

:p Yeah, well, I wanted to read it in its entirety before I go to the booksigning on Wednesday, and I wasn't sure if I'd have to stop and take breaks. I had been hearing a lot about how emotional some parts got, and I was especially worried how I'd be around the parts with his mother.

On VH1.com, they have the end of "Goodbye Love" if you go to the main site for Rent. I can see why they took it out of the movie, since it is rather slow-moving, but still, it's a very important part of the story for character development (well, at least the Roger/Mark fight).

Yeah, ditto on the kleenex. It even made *me* cry, which is really hard to do (well, unless you're an evil evil person who leaves 8 dogs alone in Antarctica...)
