Posted: 4/25/11 at 2:59pmIt's always been a big deal in my house. We decorate a tree and the whole family comes over for a big meal and then we watch Nuts and The Prince of Tides. Sometimes, if there has been drinking, we reenact the rape scene.

Oh Sally, my family are more traditional! We do all of that on Barbra's Birthday Eve.

I did have a good laugh over this thread (in a good way)..but I am not ashamed to say that I, in fact, celebrated this event by listening to Barbra songs all day long!

It means that I can confidently hop on a New York ferry boat with a bouquet of yellow roses and sing at the top of my lungs and not be ashamed. (With the Statue of Liberty in the background of course).
