We're ordering lunch tomorrow and I get to pick from where. I can't decide what I want. Jimmy John's? Chinese? Culver's? That Mexican Place?
HELP!

I think a nice healthy salad is in order.
I always opt for That Mexican Place. Or Pompei.

I LOVE Pompei- but there isn't one anywhere near. And Phyllis, we had vegetarian crap last time- that's why I get to pick!
What kinds of food are Jimmy John's and Culver's?
When in doubt, a little Asian is always enjoyable.
Deet, what does Alec Mapa have to do with anything?
Reggie, I meant Asian food and you know it!
You must be sensitive to the fact that we are in a recession MR. Kv99, therefore I suggest you take advantage of the dollar menu at McDonald's.
Jimmy John's, for the love of god, Jimmy Johns.
Stockard- Jimmy Johns is a sub shop. Very fresh ingredients, break baked in house, and incredibly fast. Their chips are fantastic too. Culver's is a fast food burger place known for their frozen custard. I'm not a big fan.
Are they Chicago places or chains, because we don't have either one? Jimmy John's sounds yummy! They have homemade chips?
Do you have 5 Guys out there Joe?? YUMMY!
Which is tasty? The five guys, or the burgers themselves?

Add me to the list of people who have neither heard of Jimmy John's nor Culver's.
And you should have Chinese- I just had some. Mmm...
danmag, we don't have 5 Guys here in Buffalo, but in D.C. we have them. they have the best burgers in life.
and innuendo aside, I had Chinese (FOOD) Thursday night and it made me sick as a dog.
When I was 16, I was on the phone with my best friend. Her mother was in the background yelling out "what should I serve for dinner?" she was annoying, so my friend yelled back at her "Cut yourself up and serve buffalo meat."
I think her mother hit her.
Just thought I'd throw that in, continue please!
I'm not sure about Culver's, but Jimmy Johns started out somewhere in the midwest, and has gone nationwide. Of course, there are many areas (East cost primarily) that don't have them yet.
We've got Jimmy Johns (or JJs) down here in Orlado. It's really really good, but not in a overly flavorful kinda way, just plain old subs that taste like they were crafted by Jesus, lol.
I always say JJ's is where you go when you either can't decide what you want to eat, or don't want anything specific (chinese/pizza/burgers). It's like, the best last resort.
I was never too fond of Five Guys though (even before I went veggie)
OK, I want a Jimmy John's here.
I just had 5 Guys for the first time and they are great! Their burgers are fantastic too!
Well, I'm excited........just searched and I have a Jimmy Johns and a 5 guys near me. Can't wait to try them!

Jimmy Johns was started in downstate Illinois by a guy I went to high school with. Small world, huh? I never called him Jimmy John, however, just Jimmy. Their sandwiches are great.
Culvers is also a Midwest thing- they have frozen custard (like soft-serve ice cream only MUCH better) and sandwiches- great burgers, home made root beer and soup, too. They are so wonderful, that when my boyfriend & I decided to move, we limited our search to towns with a Culver's. No lie. And that was before I discovered their best Flavor ever: Chocolate Covered Strawberry. IT is so good, that I reflexively slam the brakes on if I drive by the sign and see it listed as Flavor of the Day.

I haven't had Five Guys. It sounds great but I think I might be a bit old for all that now. I'd love it, but regret it afterward I'm sure.

I have a Culvers right down the street here in Illinois.
Culvers is defentally my favorite "fast food" place.
