I finished reading a Clique book called "Dial L for Loser." I noticed that Massie Block was being a bitch because Claire Lyons got the part that Massie wanted, so I'm guessing that it's an "All About Eve" story.
About a fifth of the way through Shakespeare's "The Winter's Tale"...reading it then doing a sort of project on it.

I am still trying to get thru the last 100 pages of the final Harry Potter book, have owned it since the release day!
Finally finished Was. I really, really enjoyed the book, even if it was a bit challenging for me to follow. I loved the blurring of reality and fantasy, and how the stories were all woven together. I will probably re-read in a few months, as I'm sure I missed a lot of stuff.
Next up: Confessions of an Ugly Stepsister.
I would like to find some good yet mindless reading ... suggestions welcome.
I'm hoping to read "Double Cross" by James Patterson tonight. But during lunch at work I've been reading Tennessee Williams plays. I am currently half way through "The Glass Menagerie".
"Shogun" by James Clavell. And no, I don't intend on seeing the made-for-tv movie.
The Glass Menagerie is amazing. We get to read it for Lighting Design. It's one of my favorite plays.
I finished Between the Bridge and the River yesterday. What a wonderful, wonderful read.
Tomorrow I'm going to start The Caucasian Chalk Circle.

I'm just about finished with The Grapes of Wrath by John Steinbeck, and then I'm moving on to The Misanthrope by Moliere.
I am reading Maus by Art Spiegelman for a class, but it is turning out to be very good.

"Shogun" by James Clavell. And no, I don't intend on seeing the made-for-tv movie.
But it's full of hilarious 1970s goodness! Aw.
I'm trying to read Terry Pratchett's Guards, Guards! again, but I'll probably have to drop it until my workload goes down a bit.
Well, a few years ago I read The Five People You Meet in Heaven, and it stands out as the most touching book I have ever read. Yesterday I bought Mitch Albom's latest novel, For One More Day, fully expecting to cry. I read it in two hours and didn't shed a single tear. Not good.
I just finished First Person Plural about dicephalus conjoined twins Owen and Porter, one straight one gay. It is a fascinating novel about interpersonal relationships, choices and sacrifice. I highly recommend it.
Unfortunately, I did not bring a second book with me on vacation!
it's amazing (well, it's positively amazonian) how many books there are titled FIRST PERSON SINGULAR. i liked the autobiography by CAMERON WEST.
but this new one by BEIERLE sounds intriguing indeed. thanks for the tip, DBP! (and that's the most adorable pic of your baby yet!)
I was thinking about buying Middlesex.
