suddenlyseymore - You picked three of my most hated films. LOL!

I do agree with Fargo and All About My Mother being on the list, however.

I would also consider:

Secrets & Lies
Sense and Sensibility
The Insider
Eat Drink Man Woman
Antonia's Line

Well, I found Pulp Fiction and Trainspotting to be mostly vile with little value once you get past the violence and gore. I kept hearing people talk about how funny PF was, but I failed to see the "humor". You can add Reservoir Dogs to that list. Waste of celluloid.

L.A. Confidential bored me to tears. Kim Basinger was the one saving grace in that film.

MURIEL'S WEDDING
"Do you know what pledge time is, Andrew"? said the PBS Executive. "Yes", Lloyd Webber replied. "My 50th birthday special must be one program that gets done a lot." "No", mused the man from PBS heedlessy. "Not so much. Our Stephen Sondheim Carnegie Hall concert. That's a big one." Spoons, forks and knives seemed suddenly to suspend their motion in horror, all around the table.

Also, from down under, Priscilla, Queen of the Desert.

PULP FICTION would be on my top ten least favorite films, to be sure.

ok--you know what? This ISN'T the worst movies of the 90s thread. There is no need to make other posters feel like crap by degrading their choices. It's no wonder some people are afraid to post an honest response, having to worry that it will meet approval with some of you bitches.

Speaking only for myself, I wasn't commenting on someone's choice, but on Mister Matt's comments.

What about "Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas"? I loved it. One of the best drug films I've ever seen with some of the best cinematography I've ever seen. (Although I'm a bit biased as I am quite the Gilliam freak, as one can tell by my avatar.)

Robbiej: Ha. Ha.

Well, CM2, my comment was mostly aimed at MM and PCB and robbiej and sueleen, and I felt the need to say it after the wanting to trash films escalated.

jrb - I never degraded anyone's choices. I just said I didn't like those movies, but I did not say that I disapproved their liking them or considering them the best of the 90s. I just thought it was funny that someone's top three was among my bottom ten. SS asked me why I didn't like them and I answered the question.

re: What is the best movie of the 90's?

Trainspotting is also among my bottom 10 movies of all time, not because of the violence but for it being such a ruinously bad adaptation of such an amazing book. But that's not why we're here. The best film of the 90's in my opinion is still Silence Of The Lambs.
Nothing precious, plain to see, don't make a fuss over me. Not loud, not soft, but somewhere inbetween. Say sorry, just let it be the word you mean.

I didn't make fun of anyone's choices. Noboby mentioned the dreadful Gump before I brought it up.
PEACE.
