I might go as a hipster. All I need is a raggedy checkered scarf, some skinny jeans, an ironic shirt and a disinterested look. I already have the messenger bag... :)

I hate those skanky costumes for girls. (Although I was a zombie French maid with leprosy one year...) People ask me why I almost always dress up as male characters, and it's because there are so many more creative and interesting options.

Last year I dressed up as Enjolras because to me, that was much more fun than being a sluttified version of something.

It'd be a pretty easy costume - I'll just need a fitted waistcoat or cutaway (probably can find something at Goodwill for cheap and make some alterations), black leather gloves, a rose and a top hat to tilt at a slightly imposing angle to give off a menancing disposition.

Here's a good suggestion if you're stuck and need something at the last minute. Last year, a guy at my kids' school dressed up really nice and had a HUGE gift tag that said From: God To: Women- ha! Get it? God's gift to women! You can even wear a huge ribbon!

I'm trying to get together an Emma Frost costume to go along with my friend's Cyclops and Jean costumes but cheese and rice.....I can't find a non-slutty pic of Emma to use as inspiration for the life of me. I may have to think of something else.
