I haven't seen a lot of the old classics, so I'm not the best one to ask on this topic. Out of all the other movies I've seen, the one that continues to amaze me is:
Ellen Burstyn in REQUIEM FOR A DREAM

Posted: 11/29/04 at 2:21amAmen. The funny thing is that she was a film star in the silent film era and that video that she plays to Jo, is actually her in the film that caused her downfall and the guy that played Max was the director of that film. So much of that movie rang close to home and that is one of the reasons why I love it. And the final scene, "Alright, Mr. Demille. I'm ready for my close-up" is PRICELESS!!
