What's the Story Behind Your BWW Username?

I'm real curious! :)

For example, my username is for Mary Martin and Ethel Merman.

But as Glebb knows, it goes a little deeper:

In the musical BELLS ARE RINGING (1957), Ella, a middle-class working girl is at a swanky penthouse party.

Everyone is "name-dropping" using FIRST NAMES only: (Lauren, Bette, Debbie & Eddie, etc.)

Ella pokes fun at all of them and announces that she does all of her shopping at Klein's with her good friends Mary and Ethel!

Thinking Ella is referring to Martin and Merman, one snobby party guest replies "Mary and Ethel WHO?"

"Mary Schwartz and Ethel Hodgkiss," respondes Ella.

So PLEASE SHARE! I bet your choice of BWW Username has a VERY INTERESTING story! :)

I've had Glebb as my screenname for at least ten years.

Gleb was one of the first Russian (martyr) Saints.
Gleb Botkin was the son of the physician of Tsar Nicholas II and he was a friend of Grand Duchess Anastasia.

This is downright embarrassing after two posts about wonderfully creative screen names, but mine is very simply because my name is Douglas Grant.

SOMMS is a combination of MammaMiaSammy (the original name of the poster now known as Amneris, not the poster who uses Starr Jones as their icon) and Son of Sam (the serial killer). It's a very long story. Hey Amneris, LOVE YA! MEAN IT!

pop - The thing I love about this forum is that we get the full array of personality types represented. I think it's very thoughtful of Dollypop to take up the cause of 'rude and pointlessly annoying' so that others don't have to stoop to that level.
