Boobs? Where is your response to the original question, please?

Mine is my middle name, which is Irish Gaelic, and the year of my birth.

Rath - that's great! I had no idea you had Irish/Gaelic blood...
I'm a combo of French, Irish, and Scottish (emphasis on the Scott)
My name comes from a time when I was a loose and wanton hussy, but then I met joeyjoe and settled down...lol...and I have red hair. go figure.
"I don't really get the ending, all i can go with is when after several months,Judith saw Pat sang, and later she kissed him on the toilet, after that the story back to where Pat went down from the stage after he'd sung, and he went to the italian lady.I just don't get it,what Judith exatcly meant when he kissed Pat that she had seen, and did Pat end up together with The Italian Lady? Please help me,thank u very much!" Quote from someone on IMDB in reference to a movie he/she didn't understand. Such grammar!

Oh Rath. Darling...mine is silly. My partner always called my Booby ( he has his reasons)...and I just found combining that with Broadway and tossing out the "y" was funny. It made me laugh and I typed it and before I knew I hit send. So, I kept it. re: What's the Story Behind Your BWW Username?

re: What's the Story Behind Your BWW Username?

Well, mine is obviously the charming roue' of the Rodgers and Hart musical based on the character created by John O'Hara. But it's also the first name I ever used on a bulletin board online, in the early days of the internet, back in the early 90s, before America Online or Compuserve, when modems were 128 kbps--or slower! The board was a gay community board called The Backroom, and I was Pal Joey and I signed all my postings "yr pal Joey"--the way the character in the original O'Hara stories does. (And if you haven't read them find a copy! They're wonderful!)

My icon was Gene Kelly, who of course orginated the role, until Dame anointed me a Hussy, at which point I went from Gene Kelly to Delores Gray.

I picked mine on a whim. I usually use my first name on message boards, but I was reading Herodotus' The Histories when I signed up for my BWW account -- I was reading about him and liked the character.

(Amasis was the name of an Egyptian Pharaoh in the 26th dynasty).

I am a a huge SPIDER-man fan
my name is DJ
and I was born in 1982

Which equals out to be:

re: What's the Story Behind Your BWW Username?

Boy, this is a long and convoluted story:

First, my nickname was Sam from the time I was a teenager (based on Sam Gamgee in the Tolkien trilogy and I was so christened because I was a 'good friend').

THEN I grew up, met my partner in life and we became 'Sam and Harry' (who knows why) and THAT stuck

AND then came 'SamIAm' from Dr. Seuss - an offshoot of my original nickname, based on my penchant for reading Seuss books to my kids.

Hey Heartin...,

I love THE WORLD OF HENRY ORIENT as well!

Ever listen to the musical version, HENRY, SWEET HENRY?

Hey PalJoey,

I think Dolores Gray is a multi-talented performer (ever listen to the DESTRY RIDES AGAIN CD?), but I can't recall her in any production of PAL JOEY.

Maybe your icon should be John O'Hara! (I agree. His 'Pal Joey' stories are wonderful--and a lot darker than the musical.) :)

Okay, I completley forgot Judy in Disguise was an actual song until Boobs mentioned it to me after being on the boards for about two months.
Every since I was a kid people always told me I looked like Judy Garland. So there re: What's the Story Behind Your BWW Username?

I love Dickens and the first novel of his that I actually read was "Great Expectations". Pip is the main character and I guess I always liked his character...especially because he did a simple "good deed" and that unexpectedly changed his life. You never know!!!re: What's the Story Behind Your BWW Username?

Brendan Behan's biography was called BORSTAL BOY. Miss Behan was literate, drunky, Irish, sexually ambiguous...baby it's like my life being told to me all over again!
