Embarrassment? No. Granted, the concept was very silly (intentional?), but the designs were hilarious and clever, and she performed very well.

I though she was phenomenal! She should be Glinda in the Wicked film.

Aren't those 15 minutes up yet?

I agree. It was a terribly misguided performance. Shouldn't be surprised since it's her, though.

People have been saying that since she first started. So, no.

Explanation
Could she have missed the god damn point of The Wizard of Oz anymore? Like just right over her stupid head. You know her costume changes used to be cool, but now they are so ugly, half assed, and sloppy. Oh look you slapped a new wig on with a giant oversized coat! That is so... bleh.

I'm going to go out on a limb and guess that ATJ didn't even click the link. He probably just felt this undeniable compulsion to ferociously defend one of his 'dames.' The whole idea was misguided and poorly executed; Gaga tries way too hard.

She's stalled the 15-minute clock with her banal schtick.
For five years, with zero sign of slowing down or having her music suffer? Right.

LH, dear why are you so full of hate?
I found the interview to be quite inspiring.

Except for her almost 2 years away from music. Born This Way flopping. Which I actually thought was okay. Her big comeback single Applause is flopping. I think that's slowing down & her music suffering.

"Applause" is a flop? Hardly. Considering the two years without a single note of new music, especially from such a divisive artist, releasing a song that has remained in the Top 5 (and continues to get buzz) seems perfectly fine to me.
But regardless, I'm talking about her music suffering, not the sales. The rough draft of material that she showed at the iTunes festival was some of the coolest stuff she's ever done. She has clarified many times that sales aren't important to her, and it makes sense to me as her work ethic and talent speaks for itself.

Oh that's a cute little thing to say when it doesn't perform too well. Gaga is not her label and THEY do care.
As for Top 5? It didn't crack Billboard's Top 100. They actually cut the expected sales in HALF once it came out and tanked.
When it finally got there it peaked at number 4 and dropped down to 6th while Katy Perry continues to sit pretty at #1.

Again, I'm focusing primarily on the quality of her music, which is as eclectic and fun as it's always been. And that's really the whole point. The song is upbeat and odd, and so is this performance. I mean, she snatched the wig off the Wicked Witch, this is not meant to be taken seriously.

I will happily eat my words if this album "tanks". But I doubt it.
And truth be told, I don't even think "Applause" is that great. haha

It was stupid. It wasn't entertaining and made no sense. That sums up her music pretty much. It's played out and it's boring.
