Talking Points Memo had an 'Agony and Ecstasy' compare and contract photo gallery. My favorites were this Minnesotan housewife with a humongous cross necklace upset by the Romney loss. She also had an pro-gay marriage ban sticker on which made her reaction sweeter. The Scott Brown supporters reactions were also nice since a lot of them had the too cool for school, VJ Kennedy vibe that is insufferable (mostly because I came across these conservatives on my college campus one too many times).

There was a certain amount of spirited debate over at Towleroad about the political incorrectness of this anti-Romney poster (apparently some Power Bottoms felt that the phrase 'Power Bottom' was being used as a pejorative term in this context)

But just think how sad and needy all those masochistic, closeted power bottoms are feeling today...

I'll be honest. If Obama lost, I'd have been devastated and cried. I also knew enough not to be anywhere near a camera.

HOWEVER,

The Sheldon Adelson one is magical. Just plain F*CKing magical. All that money to buy elections. And he got a ZERO rate on his return. Such a good investor.

It's on the first page of the link in the first post. Though I think it might be an older picture, it still made my heart leap.

And I have a special place in my heart for American Jews who put Israel's interests above their own nation's interests. As the late Mrs. Robbiej (a good, atheistic Jew to the end) used to scream at his brother (who was planning on voting for McCain), 'THEN F*CKING MOVE THERE, ASSHOLE! STOP VOTING HERE!!!'

Hey Namo would you have been OK with "Black People Mourning Obama: had he lost or would that have been racist?

Mr Obamans is the real teflon president. I will be fully retired in 2/2013 &my wife will take early retirement @62 despite. 3 degrees and 2 languages and a wealth. Of experience as she cannot get a job in his growing economy. We will not worry about getting jobs. Maybe in 4 years he can finish destroying the economy and still blame it all on GWB.

We will just sit and watch it all unfold.

I don't view this as intolerance for differing political views as it is pointing out how this devastation people feel is scary and sad, and sometimes irrational. Like this girl who said she was moving to Australia because of the Christian president there (they have a non-Christian prime minister actually).

It's this devastation that halts bipartisanship. He won. Now respect the position and help him help the country.

Do you think it's rational to say that America died? Is this rational?

No, see, that's a false dichotomy. Saying Likud has Israel's best interests in mind is like saying America is best off always run by Republicans. Israel's interests are not what AIPAC says they are.

If we had some belligerent Republican in office while Netanyahu was making noises about invading Iran, there would be lots of chummy agreement, sure. But it wouldn't be good for Israel.

It's one thing to take foreign policy into effect...even strongly. But the Late Mrs. RobbieJ's brother really said that was the only reason he was thinking of voting for McCain (and DID vote for Bush).
