Good that your are grateful! C11 appreciates it, but my god if you make one mistake, she will take you down! C13 is just bitchy! C9 is the golden boy and expects more then he should receive.
Buzz was a raised momma's boy and never had to do a thing. I was raised by my father who worked full time, so the my brother and I were in charge of the housework, so we have two totally different work ethics, lol! Made living together at first very interesting.

It's interesting how when you're little, $5 is a LOT, when you're a teen/tween, it's like, barely enough for the movies, and when you're in college and broke, $5 is worth 5 cups of coffee, 3.5 breakfasts...it can go a long away!
I wish someone would pay me $5 to do the dishes!!! lol! It's rough brd. When I was that age most of my friends did chores for an allowance, so it didn't seem so bad. Now a days, it is very rare to see that still taking place.

I had an allowance, which was readily witheld if I didn't do my chores. But I also would get a little extra money (like, an extra dollar) for the really hard chores, like shoveling the entire driveway. Which was very long.
I started babysitting pretty regularly in 5th grade, and then I got a little recording contract in 7th, which lasted a couple of years. I also picked up work serving at my parents' friends' dinner parties. I still remember my mantra...serve from the left, clear from the right... LOL
My parents gave me lots - I was very lucky - but they always made sure I appreciated it. They were very careful to teach me to have a good work ethic and to know the value of the dollar. It was funny, they never really wanted me to work (my dad grew up quite poor, and "pulled himself up by his bootstraps," and I think he didn't want me to work if I didn't have to), but I really wanted to, so they encouraged it, as long as it didn't interfere with my studies.
Hmmmmmmm... Buzz words. How about, "Remember, at a certain level, it's all about what they're looking for, and that's completely out of your control, so just relax, and have fun!"
I worked all throughout high school since I was 15 and it was legal. Senior year I had two jobs (Vet office during week and sat mornings & restaurant hostess fri, sat, & sun nights). In the mean time I was producer of the TV station at my HS (#3 in the state that year!), took AP classes, and partied and did many stupid things, lol! And people wonder why down time annoy the crap outta me, hehe!
