Everyone else in the world loves Sweeney. I found it, well, not to my liking.
DG, that very well could have been my neighborhood! I was in Denver for 7 years, 1987-1994. (I think, it may have been

SWEENEY's not really Liotte's cup of tea, so objectivity may not be the word of the day, here
DEFINITELY not my cup of tea.
Oh that is right, you do not like bloody or scary stuff.
I now remember the Edward Scissorhands conversation.

Liotte - while you were in Denver, I was up in the mountains - but I came over to Denver to play
Do you know The Tattered Cover? I LIVED to go to that book store!
OMG! That was my favorite store ever! I was such a bookworm! I got over $1000 in gift certificates there for my Bat Mitzvah and I was in heaven!!
I've always wanted to visit Denver.
And JFTR, I loved Sweeney.
and YWIW, I live in a G rated world (except for occasional out of town visitors and adult spelling bee). I am just a big kid, I think anyone who has met me and knows me can vouch for that.
I LOVE SWEENEY!!! (And Goodnight!)
I guess I will not ask you your thoughts about Pink Flamingos then . . .
DG, where in the mountains were you?

We lived in Glenwood Springs - and I lived in Aspen for awhile.
DD - Denver is a BEAUTIFUL city! Very green, beautiful parks - and the most amazing collection of brick housing I've seen anywhere. It was a city ordinance for many years that brick be the major component in house construction, so there is block after block of wonderful bungalows, Tudors and such from the late 1800's thru the 1940's. Absolutely my favorite city to walk through neighborhoods. You can go for miles and miles. And people like living there, so things are kept up and maintained. And they're friendly - just look at Liotte
Aww, thanks DG! I am friendly! But also sleepy, so I am going to bed. Well, for 5 hours. Oy! Goodnight all!
(and pink flamingos, what?)
Good night L!
DG, it's the one US city I have yet to visit that I have always wanted to visit. And you make it sound ever so more appealing.

Honestly, DD, if it wasn't for the fact that I just didn't want to deal with winter anymore, I would have stayed there. And there's a wonderful gay community there! You would be in heaven having those ski areas so accessible I really could go on and on - it's a great town.
Night, Liotte.
Pink Flamingos is a John Waters film before he went mainstream.
I starred Divine, and included some pretty extreme actions for film ("eggs, eggs, I want some eggs").
I saw it during my midnight film/Rocky Horror run in High School.
I think it ends with Divine ingesting something courtesy of a dog's digestive system.
Better that you not see it!

This is for Liotte, which I may need to repeat for her later, but the elementary school was Samuels on S. Vincennes Ct. (by Rosamond Park.)
I haven't gotten myself to see Pink Flamingos yet... and I love Divine.

PINK FLAMINGOS is . . . memorable
I'm off - night all.
DD - two weeks and a day!
Once was more than enough for me.
Night all.
I can't wait!
buenas noches
everyone's gone... *sobs*
you've not seen Pink Flamingos, bro? (DD)
I was once going to move to Denver (and also once, to Chicago), but never did...
I share your desire...
Yikes, I will not see that movie ever!
I don't know the school DG, but thanks for letting me know which it was!
