Dame, I LOVE the new avatar!
Hi to everyone. Having a busy but wonderful weekend, but wanted to stop by to say hi before I depart for my next adventure.
Good luck to everyone with all the relationship issues... There are no easy answers. I'm working on getting over a 15-year relationship that I thought was nearly perfect. Apparently I was wrong. Someone decided to have a mid-life crisis and throw it all away...
But, it's much too beautiful a day today to think about such things. Cheers!

Mid-life crises seem to be all the rage.
I have yet ANOTHER 40-something friend throwing over his LTR for a 20-something!
Do gay men become just like straight men when thei have their mid-life crises, throwing away spouses for trophy wives?
Why can't 40-something men just buy new cars (or real estate)? Why do they have to run away from relationships?
I need a mojito!

Posted: 4/10/05 at 4:17pmI feel your pain, NYadgal! I just recently ended a 10+ year relationship with my partner and we had just registered as Domestic Partners in New Jersey for our 10th anniversary last November! And we STILL live together. Go figure! I thought this was "it", too. We had planned for kids and growing older together and everything. Well, she now has a love interest in Minnesota, and I am head over heals for a Brazilian babe who is so friggin' far away!! Dame...can you make me a caipirinha? (Brazilian drink that they have with feijoadas.)

Quise, anyone who would leave YOU--whether for a 17-year-old hottie or a 70-year-old billionaire--is NOT going through a mid-life crisis.
He's an idiot.
(That goes for anyone who would leave you too, Addy.)

Marquise - have FUN!
AReinkingfan - I'm sorry to hear about your break-up! But, glad to hear that you have a new babe
Long distance is tough...but if it's worth it you'll find a way!
PalJoey - thanks.
Dame - I saw The Magic Flute at the Met Friday night and then Chitty on Saturday and DRS today. Second time seeing both of them, and Chitty definitely improved, while DRS continued to delight!
Hi to liotte, brdlwyr, mom...and everyone else who stopped by today.

Have fun Marquise. There's definitely something hot about Venezuelan men...
But he's the one who should be asking us advice. He's got a date with someone SCORCHING!

Yes, I've seen DRS twice as well and I really love it. I think TheGaIsSilent echoed my sentiments pretty well in a post over on the main board. How is everyone tonight?
PS-Enjoy yourself Marquise.

Thanks for the drink, Dame!
And thanks for the encouragement, NYadgal. I can really use it. It is extremely tough being, what...6,000 and some miles away from the one you love. And airfare is on average...$850 roundtrip. Yikes! I need a fairy godmother BIG time! Preferably a RICH fairy godmother.
Happy anniversary, Mom!
