re: Work Out on Bravo

I cant decide if I like Jesse or not...while I agree with his argument against what Doug said, his retaliation seemed even worse, and he was a bit of a baby about making up.

Actually, he is not fat, but I wouldnt want him to train me. I would need someone who ispires me to stay on track, not be a visual on how NOT to stay on track.

Jesse explained, Betty, that trainers are notorious drinkers/partiers because the rest of the time they are so in control, that when they decide to let loose, look out!

re: Work Out on Bravo

Was anyone else upset with Jackie's behavior on tonight's episode? I think she's sorta jerking Rebecca around and leading her on. I was a little disappointed in her. Jesse is a mean-spirited hypocrite who has bad hair, and I'm sick of him. Anyone else watch?

re: Work Out on Bravo

I'm watching it right now. Seeing Doug reflect on losing everyone in his life and turning older, in light of his recent death, is just heartbreaking to me.

I know, it's terrible that he keeps saying it's going to be his last birthday. I was in tears.

re: Work Out on Bravo

Did anyone else get the impression that they spliced images of Doug into parts of that episode (at the gym)? He was noticeably absent from the dinner and the gym throughout most of the episode, and then all of a sudden we see him a couple of times at the gym.

How prophetic that he mentioned both his parents had died at age 43 and here he was turning 44 and mentioned it would be his last birthday.

re: Work Out on Bravo

I wondered that too. If they took older footoage of Doug talking about his parents and put it into the episode where he got sick. I am curious about the chronology of all of it.

I am liking Jackie less and less. I know she wants to have fun, but people have feelings and I think it is unprofessional for a boss/owner to hook up with employees. I am really liking the rest of the staff more. I think the straight one, who said Doug was a like a brother is really a good guy with a good heart. He's very honest about his feelings.

re: Work Out on Bravo

I don't care if Jackie is in an "open" relationship. Inviting both parties to the same event was not only inconsiderate of their feelings, it was just plain tacky and unprofessional. I don't think she's capable of being in a healthy relationship.

re: Work Out on Bravo

Clearly she enjoys having the two of them lust after her. I like her, but so far two things have annoyed me about her-1. When talking about Doug being deathly ill, she commented that usually when faced with something emotionally heavy, she just walks away. and 2. the way she has no problem in telling Rebecca all the details about her affair with TIffani-I think she wants to see Rebecca squirm.

I admire Jackie though, for her strong management skills and her discipline in body and health issues.

Oh God, Jackie is good. Thoughts on tonights episode:

I thought it was really touching towards the end when all the SkyLab clients were talking about the reasons they were overweight. Jesse is still a douchebag. He's just jealous because he isn't effing Jackie Warner.

re: Work Out on Bravo

It was touching when Jackie admitted to her client that her father had also committed suicide. Then I was shocked when they showed the preview and that same woman said her father killed her stepmother and then killed himself.

I'm not a Jesse fan. It's really none of his business what Jackie does with her lovelife.

re: Work Out on Bravo

I caught a couple of episodes this past weekend. I can't believe that Doug died. That is horrible.

Jesse is a drama queen, but I think he's so cute. And I hate that he was referred to as fat.

Sad that Doug died. He came across as so sweet and genuine. Why can't just awful people die?

I'm with Jesse. Jackie's relationship with Rebecca is inappropriate. It's tacky and unprofessional. It's also lawsuit material as Jackie could be accused of sexual harassment. Jackie seems like such a smart woman that I can't believe she's acting like such a jackass. Although she claims nothing is staged, I do wonder how much of this is staged for the camera.

The group therapy session was extremely powerful. I wanted to reach through the screen and hug them.

re: Work Out on Bravo

Nah, I think Jesse would be absolutely fine with Jackie's lovelife if it didn't impact on the time she used to spend with him. He's jealous.

re: Work Out on Bravo

Obviously, Jesse is jealous, but I think his main point is good regardless of his motives: the relationship is improper.

It's Tuesday night again, you all know what that means?? Work Out w/ the amazing Jackie Warner. Unfortunately I have to perform in my friends' recital tonight at 9pm so I'm going to miss it. Let me know all about the lesbian drama!

re: Work Out on Bravo

Altogether a lukewarm episode when compared to others this season.

How about those work out clothes? They look like they came from the sale rack at K-mart. Jackie should have fired that guy.

And it looks like the trainers hear about Doug's death on the next episode.

re: Work Out on Bravo

I really love Jackie and want to go to her gym badly...but I am a little against her relationship with Rebecca. I just find it unprofesional. Yes, she is allowed a personal life but at the same time when the workers get annoyed I see there point. At the same time it is TV and we know how editors work. Still a good show..and the Doug stuff is so sad.

re: Work Out on Bravo

I liked the episode. It showed what a really smart businesswoman Jackie is. She rose above her problem with the clothing line with panache. I feel she knows how to handle her gym business also. I don't see where her relationship with Rebecca is impacting the business in any negative way yet.

Jackie's the full package in my opinion-smart, beautiful, successful. I admire her very much.

And I was proud of Jesse to admit Jackie's love life is none of his business.

re: Work Out on Bravo

Good episode. Jesse is sooooo cute- I am glad he apologized, even though he made it about him, "I've had a lot going on for ME lately, so..." As Naomi Campbell said when Gianni Versace died, "It's been a terrible thing FOR ME!" (Nod to the Sandy fans).

It was cool to see how smooth Jackie was with the investors and why she ever entrusted that troll to do her clothes is beyond me. He basically made his own samples (denim waist line on leather with denim cross-hatching-HELLO!!!) and tried to convince her to get her to sell them. Gross.

All in all, very watchable TV, although Tori and Dean INN LOVE is keeping me engrossed. Tori needs to be my friend. I think Dean is hot too.

re: Work Out on Bravo

I was actually very disappointed in her business acumen over the clothing line. She should have called and confronted the manufacturer immediately upon receiving the samples. She should have also canceled the meeting with Paiva. She wasted a lot of people's time -- they wanted to see product, not here her tell them how great it would be.

re: Work Out on Bravo

True, but I think she wanted to make a personal connection and I respect her for that. She doesn't hide. If she had cancelled via phone, they most likely would not book another meeting. Instead, she charmed them, admiited her errors, and informed them that she would plan to tour their stores to promote the merch (always a plus for companies selling a celebrity line) and actually checked in with them if they would be open to selling her edgier line. I guess she showed them sketches which was not shown in the episode but she mentioned on a blog. All in all, a class act IMO.
