re: Work Out on Bravo

I have not seen this week's eppie, but wanted to also comment on how amazing it is to see such growth in Peeler and Jackie's mom. I hated both last season, which shows my lack of perspective and thier growth and/or the humanity that wasnt shown last season.

Last season this was a guilty pleasure...this season they are doing so much more.

I think Jackie not having that lunatic biting her has been the difference.

Doodle, I totally agree. I couldn't stand Peeler (or the show for that matter) last season. This go round was much different. Originally I had no intention of watching again, but for some reason I did.

When Peeler was having that discussion with Cheo at the gym, I kept saying, "oh go on, hug each other for crying out loud", because you could tell they both needed to.

re: Work Out on Bravo

Great episode last night, I think it was a good way to wrap up the season. I only wish these seasons weren't so short. I think this one was 8 episodes.

Anyone catch the previews for the "Work Out Reunion" show next week? Jesse really needs to mind his own business when it comes to Jackie's relationship with Rebecca or he is going to lose Jackie as a friend. When he started going off about that she looked SO pissed. Should be interesting.

No doubt in my mind that the hummingbird was Doug.

That was absolutely beautiful.

It made me cry.

Ugh! I missed last nights episode much to my chagrin because I was studying for my stupid music theory episode. But from reading this, I'm so glad that the episode was fulfilling and they treated Doug's passing with sensitivity. This season is 100% better then last season. Jackie has really hit her stride, and I cannot wait until there is more!

re: Work Out on Bravo

The season was exceptional. Who would think that a show about people helping others work on their physical selves would have so much emotional depth. A stellar show. Go Jackie, go. Make some workout clothes for men please!!!!!

I love Peeler. What an exceptional human being. :)

Jane2, I watched. I thought the interviewer was insipid. Where did they get him from? The editing was very choppy. Again, I really like how Brian Peeler came off. It's like watching a different person in comparison to last season. He really wears his feelings on his sleeve.

re: Work Out on Bravo

I missed it! What happened in the follow up? Are Jackie and Rebecca still seeing eachother? How is Doug's boyfriend's health? Did the Skylab clients keep their weight off? Any news on Jackie and her mom?

Loved Peeler this season.

re: Work Out on Bravo

Blueroses, to answer your questions. Jackie would not answer the question about her and Rebecca, although she did indicate that she's seeing more than one person.

Cheo (Doug's ex) is still awaiting the kidney trasplant, as Peeler mentioned he stopped taking his medication after Doug's passing. The kidney is being donated by a family member, so first and foremost they want to get Cheo as healthy as possible before the surgery.

No real news on Jackie and her mom, although Jackie mentioned that when all was said and done, she realized her mom loved her.

One thing I noticed about the reunion, is how Jesse frequently wants to be the center of attention.

This episode will probably reair as it seems like Workout is always on whenever I turn on Bravo.

re: Work Out on Bravo

blueroses - They had SkyLab-er Laurie come on the show. They said she's kept the weight off that she lost during SkyLab, plus lost an additional 10lbs. She said she's doing really well and feels like a completely different person just in the way she lives her life.

It sounded to me like Jackie and Rebecca either aren't dating at all any more, or if they are Rebecca is not the "main" person Jackie is dating. They also did a show of hands of people who were in a relationship and Rebecca raised her hand. So either she's seeing someone else, or she sees her relationship with Jackie differently than Jackie sees it.

re: Work Out on Bravo

I had a different take on the reunion. I think Jackie came across as a delusional. She is a business woman, and her actions this season made her look like an idiot. She took delight in dating two women at the same time and rubbing everyone's nose in the fact. If Andre were doing the same thing, she'd call him a misogynist. As discussed before, her actions on screen are lawsuit material. She does not seem to grasp that she is the boss. She is to be held at a higher standard than any of the trainers.

re: Work Out on Bravo

My thought on the show-It was interesting when the interviewer asked Jackie how she felt about the fact that many straight women said that if they should ever try going with another woman it would be her-Jackie said it was a very powerful feeling.
Also, she mentioned that she's seeing a new lesbian right now, and that she sees her more than Rebecca.

Jesse-interesting how he was blaming Rebecca for wanting more screen time and that's why she dated Jackie. I feel that Jesse himself only wants more attention on screen and that's why he was so friendly with Jackie and so jealous of Rebecca. I think he's a big phony when he claims to be looking after Jackie's best interest. He couldn't care less.
That's what I think!

I also think Jackie's a great boss and pretty successful in business. I couldn't do it.

$400/hour to train with her, and they pay it! If you got it, flaunt it!

re: Work Out on Bravo

I read Jesse's blog today and he wanted to make one thing clear about Rebecca that was edited out of Workout. Apparently he was making Jackie's relationship with Rebecca his business because Rebecca was still seeing her boyfriend. Not that it makes it right. Let Jackie learn on her own.

re: Work Out on Bravo

I don't see the point, though. Jackie and Rebecca weren't exclusive. Also, it seemed Rebecca was way more into Jackie than Jackie was into her.

Was his point that Rebecca and her boyfriend were supposed to be monogamous and she was cheating?

Still none of Jesse's business.

re: Work Out on Bravo

Blueroses, not too sure. Maybe he saw another Anne Heche/Ellen Degeneres on the horizon and was trying to stop that, who knows. Though it was none of his business, even if Jackie is his friend. She's old enough to take care of herself.

re: Work Out on Bravo

I always read it that he saw Rebecca using Jackie to get more screen time. As a friend, I'm not surprised he was vocal about it. Jackie has shown on national television that she's incapable of choosing the right people. Most friends would not stand by and say nothing.
#94

re: Work Out on Bravo

cm, I like Jesse, but I saw it more as a jealousy issue. He liked being the one in the gym who was closest to Jackie and he felt like Rebecca was taking his place.
#95

re: Work Out on Bravo

Honestly, I dont blame him tho because I can't stand Rebecca. If it were my friend I would be mad, too. I think Jackie has blinders for that type of girl, and she cant see when they are using her. I just think Rebecca's a big phony about everything, but thats just me.

You are right that its none of Jesse's business and Jackie can learn on her own, but I see why he would get upset.

"Apparently he was making Jackie's relationship with Rebecca his business because Rebecca was still seeing her boyfriend. Not that it makes it right. Let Jackie learn on her own."

I think he was making it his business because he would have been delighted if Jackie got rid of Rebecca, so that he could be "back in the saddle" so to speak.

re: Work Out on Bravo

I'm with you, Jane2. Who cares if Rebecca was still dating her boyfriend at the same time she started dating Jackie? Jackie was very open about dating both Rebecca and Tiffany at the same time, so it's obvious that their relationship was not monogamous.

Regarding the price to train with Jackie, if you go on skysportspa.com it tells you the rates for all the trainers. Everyone on the show (except Jackie, obviously) is $135/hr. There are several other trainers who are not on the show; some are more expensive, some less.

Speaking of... I'd like to know how that works. Did the rest of the gym's trainers just not agree to be on the TV show? Were they not asked? Were the producers looking for a specific number/types of people? And how do they avoid filming these other trainers when they all work in the same gym? Must be some very creative editing/scheduling.
#98

re: Work Out on Bravo

ava, maybe those other trainers are new?
Anyway, I'm sure they selected the ones who would make the show the most interesting for ratings, like they do for every other reality show.
