re: Work Out on Bravo

True, but I think she wanted to make a personal connection and I respect her for that. She doesn't hide. If she had cancelled via phone, they most likely would not book another meeting. Instead, she charmed them, admiited her errors, and informed them that she would plan to tour their stores to promote the merch (always a plus for companies selling a celebrity line) and actually checked in with them if they would be open to selling her edgier line. I guess she showed them sketches which was not shown in the episode but she mentioned on a blog. All in all, a class act IMO.

"2. the way she has no problem in telling Rebecca all the details about her affair with TIffani-I think she wants to see Rebecca squirm."

I know... Jackie loves all of the attention and she loves that Rebecca is jealous. Rebecca is also at fault for ASKING about Tiffani, though. Jackie has a right to see other people--they're not exclusive. But it should be a don't ask/don't tell situation. Rebecca clearly really likes Jackie--why is she tormenting herself?!

I can see why the employees are pissed. They could be worried about workplace favoritism, etc. If Jackie and Rebecca want to see one another, it's their business. But they should have kept it quiet.

She did handle the meeting with class, but her behavior at the gym is so unprofessional that it's very annoying. It's bad enough that Jackie is dating Rebecca, but to make it so flagrant, and to call out employees for having a problem with it is appalling behavior. It's lawsuit material.

re: Work Out on Bravo

Total lawsuit material. If Rebecca ever gets fired, she will get a fat check if she hires a lawyer. And guess what, it was all shown on TV-the advances, the innuendo, the protest of fellow employees, as well as Jackie's "using" of Rebecca. Rebecca could own Skylab if she so chooses.

re: Work Out on Bravo

What a powerful episode. The whole thing with Jackie's mother and then Peeler reacting to Doug's death. I didn't have dry eyes for the last ten minutes of the show.

re: Work Out on Bravo

Final episode next week-then what will we do? When does Project Runway start?

re: Work Out on Bravo

Well Workout airs on Tuesday nights so I don't think that would have anything to do with when Project Runway starts. I have a feeling PR will begin once Shear Genius is over.

And last nights episode definitely had tears coming out of my eyes. re: Work Out on Bravo

What I meant was now that Work Out is ending, is there another show we can watch, regardless of the time slot, to add to our trash tv watching.

Ahh, sorry, I misunderstood what you meant. I haven't seen anything about a new show, but that would certainly be nice. Haha.

Jane2, is Tim coming back? I thought there was a conflict with Parsons and he was thinking of turning it down. I hope they throw a ton of money at him so he'll stay. I love The Gunn.

re: Work Out on Bravo

I have no idea, actually. I'm out of the loop as far as what's going on behind the scenes. But do you know when it starts?

re: Work Out on Bravo

I think WORKOUT rose to a new level of depth and importance last night. I think the show shows a lesbian woman with so much depth and humanity that it really deserves notice. I think Jackie allowing such a personal journey to be televised is so important and helpful. I think she should get some LGBT awards this year. She is shown in all her glory and her flaws and her struggles. The show was so moving for much of the season.

I also think Peeler is such a great person for being a moving portrayal of an LGBT Ally. He models that straight men can be friends with gay men and connect with them. He also is a model of true masculinity for hsi ability to show his emotions and express his care for another man.

The show is just exceptional. Kudos to the whole staff and clients of Skylab for modeling openness. And special kudos to Jackie and Peeler.

PS Jackie's mom is GORGEOUS. They look like sisters. Her mom's humanity was shown beautifully.

I certainly gained A LOT of respect for Peeler after last night. He may be tough, but he has a heard of gold and is there for his friends.

Double post because last night I saw a commercial for "My Lofe On The 'D' List". It's starting back up on Tuesday, June 5!

re: Work Out on Bravo

I thought this last episode was really well done. The home movies of Jackies dad were just heartbreaking.

I really loved the part with the ex-marine turned gay porn star - and his take on the war over coffee.

I can't stand Rebecca...just needed to say that.

The bit about Doug was nicely done - I am really glad they did not film the actual announcement to the Skylab partners - but instead chose to reveal his passing with grace and dignity even though we all knew it was coming.

I think Top Chef is starting up again this summer, at least I am assuming that from the beach bag promos that Bravo has been airing. Who takes a wire wisk to the beach? lol.

re: Work Out on Bravo

I've only recently become obsessed with this show, so I've been Tivo-ing all the reruns I can find. Dyke drama is so addicting. I will admit, I am a fan of Jackie & Rebecca. I know it's wrong because Jackie's the boss, but I don't care. It's hot. And they both have cute pictures of them together on their MySpaces. (Jackie's is probably done by her people, Rebecca's I think is actually personal, even though she has 897957 "friends.")

I do agree with Bettyboy though, this week's episode brought the show to a new level. I really admire Jackie for showing such emotional and personal aspects of her life on television.

Bettyboy, Im gonna take you to the eye doctor. But yes, this week's episode brought the show to a new level. Bravo!

re: Work Out on Bravo

Whoa. What an episode! I still haven't recovered. Jackie's mom has grown so much since last season. You could tell how much she wanted to connect with her daughter and understand her. She was really reaching out and TRYING, when in the past she was strictly judgemental.

"I also think Peeler is such a great person for being a moving portrayal of an LGBT Ally. He models that straight men can be friends with gay men and connect with them. He also is a model of true masculinity for hsi ability to show his emotions and express his care for another man."

Betty, I have nothing further to add since I couldn't have expressed it half as beautifully as you did. Peeler broke my heart tonight.

Oh, that porn star was HOT! God bless Gage. My thread about him, was deleted. Typical.

Jackie reminds me so much of a friend I had. She is totally cool. It was heartbreaking that one of them died. I just watch parts, so I don't know the causes, I just caught Brian crying. All I know.

I had the biggest lump in my throat for the first 15 minutes of this episode. I hope Cheo's surgery is/was a success.
