Personally, I'd like to see the Sox go to the World Series, then get their asses kicked by the Cardinals.

That way people from Massachusetts get used to losing in the end.

I should have known that 19-run outburst was too good to last. Now all those guys seem to have mysteriously forgotten how to hit. And not all the guys they've faced have been Curt Schilling. I am seriously peeved right now.

I'm sorry but the Yankess deserve to lose. Any team that blows a 3-0 lead in a playoff series deserves to lose. But if they do lose, then the Curse of the Bambimo will have finally been broken, causing a shift in the universe and triggering the beginning of the end of life as we know it! The next apocalyptic event will be Bush winning the election in two weeks. The fate of all mankind hinges on tomorrow night's game!

Maybe the Red Sox deserve to lose because of their utterly pathetic Game 3 performance. Any team that gives up 19 runs in a playoff game shouldn't be there, right?

It's all in how you look at it. Why, if you ask my friends in Boston, they'd tell you they prefer that the Red Sox lost. Because if they win, there will probably be rioting. And even if there isn't, things are quieter when the Red Sox lose.

Aren't both Boston and New York known for being liberal though? Either way I say it benefits Kerry... Oh God, now I am discussing how who wins the pennant and eventually the world series will affect the election. AHHHH!!!!

I am very cold, wet, and pissed off. What a terrible game to be at. Fun to throw things on the field and yell "bullsh*t" to the refs on all those horrible calls though.
I think I am going again tomorrow, hopefully the Yankees will do better then and finally clinch this series!!!

The curse MUST be broken! Don't you feel it? There's something not right in the universe. I honestly believe that if the Yankees lose tomorrow night it will usher in a new age of evil and set the stage for a series of cataclysmic events, the likes of which have never been seen before! ok, just to clarify here folks, the curse of the bambino will not be broken simply by the red sox getting to the series. they've already done that: in '46 (lost in 7 games), in '67 (lost in 7 games), in '75 (lost in 7 games), and in '86 (lost in 7 games thanks mr. buckner). the curse of the bambino is not just getting to the series, it's winning it all. even should the sox beat the yankees, as glorious as that might be for them, the curse is about the world series, not the alcs.
