For those single ladies and gentlemen, what's your dream wedding?
For those who are already married, did you have your dream wedding?

My dream wedding would be me, Ivan, the officiant. We'll be outside, maybe a beach, maybe somewhere else, but not in a church.

Instead of tux's (we're too laid back for that), probably white pants and white shirts. Shirt probably unbuttoned.

A few, but not too many, guests. Our closest friends, and whatever family comes.

And we'd love for the Dixie Chicks to perform.

This board just became my favorite. I've been planning it since I first saw the Disney movie Cinderella. I want to have the "Cinderella" dress. Glass slippers. My bridesmaids will be in blue. The wedding will be in a grand ballroom with a grand staircase where everyone will walk down. The band will be playing So This is Love and when I walk out the music will stop and a clock will gong twelve times. And white rose petals. The cake will be blue. With a very subtle clock theme to it. I found the perfect dress a while ago. Even though i've got some time before I actually get married. Now I just need to find a guy who's family can afford this wedding.

I'd love to rent an amazing theatre and get married where else, but on a stage. Some special effects would be great but not necessary. All my friends would be the audience and maybe the programs could be Playbills. That would be somewhat tacky, but fun and very much me.

My high school theatre and her husband did that.
I believe it was at the University of North Texas, in Denton.
They had a playbill and everything.
She brought the video in for us to watch one day and it was really nice.

SarahBeth, that sounds so pretty!

The style network had a marathon of Whose Wedding is it Anyway? a while back and I became addicted to the show. I love weddings!

Brides can be the scariest monster on earth, if they don't get what they want. re: Your Dream Wedding

My wedding would be nonexistent. Being single is just too fabulous. But I support those of you who do choose the path of most resistance.

My Husband...sounds funny to say that, celebrated our 12th anniversary last week. 2 years ago we got married in Windsor, Ontario Canada. Sad that we had to go all the way to Canada to be "legally" married, but we did. It was AWESOME! There were 60 or so guests there. Mostly his family and college friends since he is from the Detroit area. We had a handfull of friends from San Diego make the trek which was very special. The wedding was out side of the B & B we stayed in over looking the Detroit skyline and the river. It was beautiful!!! Then off to Europe for a 3 week honeymoon. I highly recommend getting married to ANYONE!!! The gift registry ALONE is worth it =)

SorryGrateful, we can be crazy cat ladies together!
My dream wedding, in the highly unlikely event that I want to get married, would be me, the man I love, an officiator and a witness. That's it. I"m not into flashy weddings and public declarations of undying love. I wouldn't really want a couple hundred people watching me declare my love for someone.

my sister and aunt used to work at a tux shop so I would always steal "Bride" magazines from there. I have my wedding all planned out, A very simple yet eleegant dress (no frills) Bridesmaids in light ivy green dresses (Like the ones from Friends!) Groom (Who looks like Jake Gylenhall) and men in simple black tuxes. Very small yet elegant, With ivy vines all around. I would love to have it on the dock at LAke Washington

THis is kinda sad.... But fun!

I was against marriage until I met Ivan.
There might be two happy marriages in my family.
Everyone else is either divorced, or remarried (and still unhappy), or cheating.

We had a very nice Chicago wedding. Beautiful church, nice reception and my wife was gorgeous. I would love to re-live the day! Friends and family together again!

All I know is that I want a really poofy dress. One of those that still stands up when you step out of it. And my little doggie has to be there.

My dream wedding would be held outdoors, possibly a vineyard on the northshore of Long Island. The ceremony would be officiated by a friend of my husband and I, (I'm not particularly religious and I can't imagine marrying someone who was, so I'd hate to have a Rabbi who I barely know do my wedding). My bridesmaids would wear emerald/dark green or burgundy dresses. I would have lilies, tulips, and snapdragons has my flowers. The reception would be at a nightclub or a nightclub type enviroment where everyone would dance and dance. We'd rent the whole place for the entire night so that the party can go on all night.

I have no idea what I want my dress to look like though. heh.

re: Your Dream Wedding

My wedding was my dream wedding. My husband wore gorgeous tux with a long jacket, the groomsmen wore matching tuxes, but their vests were navy to match the bridesmaids' dresses. The bridesmaids wore simple navy evening gowns. My gown was strapless beaded gown with a long train- very princess-like. I wore a tiara and a crystal studded veil and carried a cascading bouquet of roses. All of that made it nice, but what made it perfect was that I was marrying the man of my dreams. Lots of stuff went wrong behind the scenes, but none of that matter. It was a perfect night.

A party on the beach in Costa Rica. Yep... that's the wedding. People in bathing suits or whatever they want, having fun. Before lunch, a little ceremony right on the sand. Then back to the party.
