what an awesome movie! i haven't had this much fun at a zombie movie since Shaun of the Dead... some excellent writing, a great cast... a fun movie to watch... the extended cameo of a certain star is HILARIOUS! anyone else see this yet?

I loved that movie too! But please edit your post so you won't spoil the great Hollywood cameo. I'd be so upset if I knew the cameo secret before I saw the movie.
And after the movie all my friends and I bought Twinkies. Well, one bought Snowballs but I don't like the consistancy of coconut...

oh haa... i edited it... that cameo was genius!
and you know... i never hated woody harrelson... his movies never really did much for me and I will always remember him from Cheers... but he was perfect in this movie.. and his big reveal about his puppy was really a nice part of the movie!
i really recommend this movie to everyone... perfect blend of horror and comedy

I went in not expecting much, but came out very surprised by this movie. I liked it a lot. It just seemed that the movie went by really fast (but then again, I went out for two bathroom breaks.) Woody Harrelson was by far my favorite character in this movie (along with the celebrity cameo
.)
And screw Twinkies and Snowballs, Ho Hos is where it's at!!!

I hope to see it eventually. In theatres or by another manner.
How did the 'A Nightmare on Elm Street' trailer look on the big screen?

Freddy still looked like Voldemort, even on the big screen.

Sorry, this will always be Freddy to me. There was no reason to re do this film. Just a waste of money and a Englund-less Kreuger is not something I'm interested in.

#9re: Zombieland
Posted: 10/4/09 at 7:48pmWell it isn't like Freddy had any self respect after 'Freddy's Dead' so there is not much worse they can do to him.

I know! I always have a bad habit of wanting to buy the biggest size soda drink, then down it all before the movie even starts.

Well, with the new Freddy, they said they did his make up to look more realistic as to what burn victims ACTUALLY look like.
Can't wait to see "Zombieland"

"Well it isn't like Freddy had any self respect after 'Freddy's Dead' so there is not much worse they can do to him."
Well Wes Craven's New Nightmare came after that one and next to the original it's the best in the entire franchise.

'New Nightmare' is not canon to the rest of the franchise.
That movie took place in the 'real world' where ANOES was actually a movie.

Did anyone notice during the car scene (it was only about 5 seconds)
While Talahassee and little rock were arguing about Hannah Montana "Popular" was playing on the radio

Posted: 10/5/09 at 3:29pmi didn't notice it... but Little Rock explaining Hannah Montana was just hilarious to me... it was little things like that in the movie that made it so awesome!
#17re: Zombieland
Posted: 10/5/09 at 4:57pmI totally noticed that! That's part of what made me laugh so hard during that scene. The whole country is a wasteland and they're somehow listening to "Wicked" lol hilarious.

Loooooved it. Consistently funny and scary, with numerous scenes (the "cameo" included) that are just flat-out inspired.
Balancing laughs with scares is extremely tricky, and I think Zombieland accomplishes this with greater ease and detail than, yes, Shaun of the Dead

I think the movie was a great american couter part to "Shaun of the Dead".
The only thing I will say however is I felt the number of zombies they had was, extremly limited to say the least.
On screen I never saw more than a couple of dozen zombies on screen at once (during the ending).
The movie though did have me laughing alot just should have had more zombies!

Posted: 10/6/09 at 12:01amI saw "Popular" listed in the music credits but had no idea where it was. Now I know I was laughing too damn hard at the Hannah Montana joke to hear it. That really was the funniest line in the entire movie.

so now there might be a sequel... and I actually think a sequel could work for this movie... it wasn't a very close ended type of movie... and i think it'd be fun to see these characters on more adventures in Zombieland!
