be honest now, don't name one bc you think THEY'RE amazing

i know this has been posted already. time for a refresher.

now if you could play ANY lead role in a broadway show, what would it be? and this role HAS to be appropriate for you... meaning in your vocal range [for example, if you LOVE Elphaba but can't hit her high belt notes, don't name her] dont lie. tell the truth.

i pick Belle from Beaty and the Beast

No turning back, you must accept the con is done... It was a ball, it was a blast. And it's a shame it couldn't last. But every chapter has to end, you must agree.

"Seymour in Little Shop of Horrors or
anything in "Smokey Joe's Cafe".

If I had to pick one, it would be Prof. Harold Hill in The Music Man. Great part that I've always wanted to play.

If I can name others, too, I'd add Mark Cohen from Rent, Max Bialystock from The Producers, the title role from Sweeney Todd, Huck from Big River, Fredrick(sp?) from A Little Night Music, Bobby from Company, Hank Azaria's parts in Spamalot, John Adams from 1776, Bobby Strong from Urinetown, Seymore from Little Shop of Horrors, and Enjorlas in Les Miserables (though I don't think I'm good-looking enough to do the last one - ::sigh:: bucket-of-ice-cream time re: be honest now, don't name one bc you think THEY'RE amazing )

Realistically? Since I don't have mcuh of a range, I'll say The Queen Aggravain from Once Upon a Mattress. I'm a character alto-who doesn't have the greatest voice. I'd LOVE to play her too-suhc a juicy role!!!! I love roles like that even if they don't sing at all - it just seems like so much fun. Or the Stepmother in Cinderella, for the same reasons. I don't think she sings muhc, either. But the Queen is probably the winner for me.

ooh! Speaking of the Music Man - I'd love to give the Mayor's Wife, Eulalie Shinn, a shot. I really think I could handle it - since Pick-a-little isn't supposed to be the most melodious number.

EditX2: oooh! I could totally be the Female Authority Figure in Hairspray. Not muhc sinigng, but quite memorable stage moments!

I'd love to play Marius in Les Miserables... his songs fit my vocal range and I think being 18 is fine age wise.

Ummm... Tobias in Sweeney Todd, although I'm not quite a tenor (not sure really), but can hit all his notes... highest being a damn Ab, it's a stretch and bad for my voice cuz I'm belting it. It'd be a challenging role both acting and vocally, but it'd be a lot of fun (need voice lessons to learn to sing mix and head voice and I'd be fine).

Phantom in Phantom... love him, although All I Ask of You is a good song too, but not enough to make me wanna be Rauol.

I dunno, it's like 2:30 AM and can't think very well right now, so that's all I can come up with... but there are more.

I'm very much a "Sondheim" actor--an actor who sings (and please, please make the choreography very simple). Sweeney is my dream role, of course, and I'm very well suited for it...I'd also love to play Frederik Egerman, Bobby (if they used Boyd Gaines' keys), John Wilkes Booth...ya know...
