re: be honest now, don't name one bc you think THEY'RE amazing

Hmmm, I think a refresher of this was posted just last week.

Oh well, I'll play along:

Gordon & u/s for Mark Cohen in Rent (clearly I've thought that one out)
Baker in Into the Woods
Jamie in The Last 5 Years
Huck in Big River
Mendel or Marvin in March of the Falsettos
Seymour in Little Shop of Horrors

Christine in Phantom (Those notes are a breeze for me)
Galinde and Elphaba in Wicked
Belle in Beauty and the Beast
"You alone can make my song take flight, it's over now, the Music of the Night!!!!!"

Cathy in The Last 5 Years (hopefully, if I ever get cast in this role, my dying of happiness would hold of until AFTER my run, LOL)
The Baker's Wife in Into The Woods

And I could kick some MAJOR tooshie as Millie if only looking at me while I dance weren't such a comic experiance.

I would love to be in a show.... but I don't have the pipes. So, I would be completly happy as swing in Rent or Wicked... or... anything.

I could realistically (by voice type and general appearance) play:

Clara in The Light in the Piazza
Olive Ostrovsky in The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee
Hope Cladwell in Urinetown
Julie Jordan in Carousel
Gertrude in Seussical

and although I hate to say it...
Glinda in Wicked

For my range I'd say:
Eliza Doolittle in My Fair Lady
Maureen in Rent

My range is weird. My high notes are limited but I can hit them in My Fair Lady and when I warm up properly I could play Maureen well.
I would love to play Mimi though, but I'd have to work my arse off for it!
A most ingenious paradox.

Penny from Hairspray...I agree with Angel when she said would kill for that part.

Magnolia from Showboat...that show was the first Broadway show I really fell in love with after seeing it in 1996, and I went around singing the music for the next 5 years...really, I did...so yeah, I basically have the part down...HAHA
