It was only a matter of time... I guess her LGBT supporters, like Pal Joey, will claim that she has "evolved" since 2011. God have mercy on all our souls and especially those too blinded by the hype to see this slimy politician for who she actually is. A chameleon of many colors.

None of that matters of course. They want to get their grubby mitts on Clinton's personal emails and they won't stop until they've pawed through every single one for evidence of something dirty or corrupt -- or at least can make it look it that way with selective leaks and insinuations. And they'll have the full cooperation of the press which, according Ruth Marcus on Andrea Mitchell this morning, they just can't help obsessing over like a bunch of hungry vultures, to the exclusion of virtually everything else, because there are emails.
If you are confused by all this and don't understand the dynamic surrounding this inane email controversy, you should read Conason and Gene Lyons' ebook The Hunting of Hillary, which recounts the true history of the “vast right-wing conspiracy.” Even if you loathe Clinton with every fiber of your being you should be concerned about this. They'll use these methods against anyone, just ask John Kerry or Al Gore. If you like Bernie or Biden don't think they won't find a way to get them with this stuff or that the press won't eagerly swallow every tid-bit they give them if they sense blood in the water. The desire to get Clinton is even stronger among both the Republicans and the press, of course, because she and her husband survived the earlier attempt to destroy them and they are frustrated. But don't think it can't happen to any Democrat if the media decides to join in. Character assassination by a thousand cuts is their MO and it's very powerful.

It can also happen among progressives.
There are Obama supporters from 2008 whose reckless and extravagant use of the C-word about Hillary I will never, ever, EVER forget.
Some of them used to to post on this board. It's also why I consider those who use words like "slimy" to be illiberal and, sometimes, creepy.

How about we're more concerned with the poor, we wanna tax the rich, and being open about it, Hillary. Sanders has made it clear what he wants to do, TAX THE WEALTHY AND BRING UP THE UNDERCLASS. If this is not your mantra we don't expect you to be for us.

The money Bernie is raising is very nice and all but that's not how elections are won in 2015--or November 2016.
Even no-negative campaigns cost more than he has the stomach to raise or his supporters are willing or able to give.
Don't forget: It takes a LOT to defeat the Koch Brothers. Even a Republican candidate who seems like an idiot to you in October 2015 can seem electable to a majority of voters in November 2016 with Koch-financed marketing behind him. (Or even her--don't rule out Carly!)
Only Hillary can defeat the Koch Brothers money.

I wish I lived in the same world Bernie lives in. But unfortunately we live in the post-Citizen's United world and that's not going to change anytime soon and only Hillary can play that game.

Keep a secret? It was released to the press that Hillary was going to open the season the beginning of the week. There was controversy because her detractors said she was turning down a meeting with the HRC to do this. The HRC refuted it.
