That's the thing that's so puzzling and frustrating, PJ. Hillary does have the record to backup her claims of being one of the strongest advocates for women's rights in modern US history. So, when her campaign and her surrogates go out and try and shame young female voters into supporting Hillary just because she'd break the glass ceiling on the White House it reads as an out-of-touch scolding from elderly women. Hillary's already got the support of older female voters tied up nicely. If this is her way of reaching out to younger female voters, I'm highly skeptical of its effectiveness. Again, not a critique of Hillary's actual record on women's rights, but on her current campaign strategy.

No. But her lifelong devotion to championing women's rights--economically, socially and politically--does make her the better choice for female voters as well as male voters.
But you don't care about any of that. You just want to get sooooooooooo angry.
(And besides, you don't live here anyway, do you?)"
And bernie has been championing for women's rights for as long if not longer than Hilary. Bernie sanders has literally had the same ideas ever since the 60's this is why I like Bernie. It's not like changes his mind about something because it becomes the social norms. If you think Hilary and Obama opened up about be for same sex marriage, because that was when he had an awakening your wrong.
First Debbie Wasserman Schultz and now Madeleine Albright herself a former Secretary of State. It's never good to give the opposition the stick to beat you over the head with. Sanders is way too shrewd to make hay of it but the fellows on the other side of the divide and their surrogates sure as hell are working on a new calculus. What will Sister Sarah have to say about?
Transcripts of speeches made to Wall Street, this isn't going away.

If you think this sentence makes sense, you're wrong.
The non-controversy over "THE SPEECHES! THE SPEECHES!" (BURN THE WITCH! BURN THE WITCH! SHE MADE SPEECHES TO THE DEVIL!) is just the latest ridiculous witch hunt. Here's one of her EVIL! EVIL! EVIL! speeches to Goldman Sachs.
It's about "gender equity in the business world" and "proving the case for women entrepreneurs." (BURN THE WITCH! BURN THE WITCH! )
She starts at about 3:50.
I really get Bernie's appeal despite my being a card-carrying Libertarian. He has the courage to stand by his convictions which is refreshing inside the Beltway echo chamber. Similarly, I'm awestruck by Trump's ability to galvanize a huge chunk of the electorate. Arguably, they alone are responsible for making this election season even more exciting than 2008. We all know who the establishment candidates are without having to name names. The outlier Ted Cruz is simply insufferable.
Hillary does not excite me nor has she ever but gets my vote as a matter of embracing pragmatism. The woman has faced a relentless onslaught of scrutiny from the GOP and voters alike for over a decade. I'm still convinced that she's the right choice for POTUS in the upcoming general election. And I'm down with a Clinton/Castro ticket. Many of us have witnessed well-intentioned principled candidates disintegrate in the crucible of primary & general elections before, e.g. Jimmy Carter, Howard Dean, etc.
For starters, nearly everything her detractors say about her is a lie.

Who's going extreme and saying burn the witch? Maybe I misheard this news, correct me if I'm wrong, she has the transcripts of the speeches she made at these bankers events. If she does, and these don't get released to the public, isn't that going to be a tough hurdle to overcome?

"correct me if I'm wrong"
You don't react well when we do.
You decide. Listen to that speech and tell me if you find one SYLLABLE to object to.
If not, this release-the-speeches thing is just another boondoggle that will fade and go away.
I don't know what that means Namo, don't know who we are, don't get it. I will add that it is the Clinton supporters who read panic stricken in here, shouldn't we be celebrating that there is a candidate who has inspired the left and the youth? If Clinton can't do that where does the fault lay? It just dosen't seem to matter to Clinton supporters where her money comes from, that's she's rich because of the people who destroyed the middle class, that's she's friends with them. I'm willing to vote for her, but my vote has to do with conscious and not who I think will win. I think Sanders can win and has a better chance than Clinton.
If there are transcripts of the entirety of her speeches, get them out, don't ask me to watch part of it.

Oh god. This is going to be like the birth certificate. Which, like this with the speeches, was never about the birth certificate.

LOL
Guys, really? So it's LOL funny I don't want to hear part of Clinton's speech? I could hear part of a Trump speech and based on that send money. Once again Namo you speak in tongues I don't understand. How does this equate with birth certificates or are you that naive?
Perhaps I'm unprincipled but I don't care how Hillary lines the Clinton coffers or funds her campaign in a post-Citizens United v. Federal Election Commission world, as long as the funds are obtained legally. Political offices are now going to the highest bidders so ante up on behalf of your favorites. I just made another contribution to both the Clinton and Kasich campaigns to put my money where my mouth is. Obama vs Romney was the most expensive presidential election ever. I foresee a Clinton vs Cruz election totally eclipsing its predecessor in terms of spending.
Honestly who cares what she said?
You can't tell me over HALF A MILLION dollars for less than an hour work doesn't buy special access. Not to mention the millions she's taken from Wall Street over the years that have catapulted her into the 1%.
And Clinton keeps saying "show me one time I changed my vote".
I'll let Elizabeth Warren do it instead.
Read the link PJ posted above. Does a great job giving context to this instance Warren describes. Quite tired of seeing that video posted in the comments for any pro-Hillary statements on social media.

Don't blame my tongue, though in this case it's my fingers, blame your brain.

I'm curious: based on your post, it seems as if you feel that Clinton is a more appealing candidate to libertarians than Sanders. Is that the case? If so, I don't really agree with this at all.
Of course, Sanders' economic platform is anathema to libertarians - but Clinton isn't that much better. On the other hand, Sanders' views on spying, eternal warfare, drug policy, and a host of "social issues" are entirely libertarian, and Clinton is terrible on many of these.
What are your thoughts on this? Why would a libertarian pick out Clinton as the best candidate? I'm not attacking you, just genuinely curious.
