funny how some are attacking me rather then CNN for not wanting a show thats viewership has lots of minorities... mind boggling

Carlos, youre right about the title, my mistake, she wasnt fired, the show was canceled which for a show is the equiv of being fired but youre right.

Except that's not what we did and it's not what CNN did. It is, however, exactly how AbbyNormal used to argue- toss up a totally false "red herring" and never address the actual issue.

If you look at the story you posted first, CNN canceled the show because of poor ratings- which it did indeed have. The article DOES assert that it was because of "too many minorities" but at the BOTTOM of the article that statement is challenged (at least) or corrected by the executive who actually cancelled the show. And Soledad was not fired.

I have never seen this show and had no idea who Soledad was- all I knew was what your article told me. So I Googled. Apparently there is some speculation she may be fired at some future point, but as your article points out, her new boss is her old boss so he may very well find a place for her. But the REALLY interesting part was that she is perceived as a liberal and she is being replaced by Chris Cuomo, another liberal.

So I am REALLY bewildered by what your point is- CNN (a liberal network) (By your arguments) is racist and firing a liberal because too many minorities watched her? Is that what outraged you? Can you help me out here Abby?

my point i thought was fairly obvious. i think its outrageous that the show was supposedly canceled for having a high percentage of minorities.... i dont care if they are libs or cons, whether Obama or Bush does something stupid or bad they should be held accountable equally, no allowances should be made.

so much for differing opinions and viewpoints. you can think whatever you want, and thats ok, im always interested in hearing others opinions even if they differ from mine. i just find it sad that if someone is not lockstep in opinions they are ostracized by a select few who are insecure. thats sad, but unfrntly expected.

can i ask what was so terrible about this post that has some of you hysterical? i just dont get it, is CNN a sacred cow? Im serious, ididnt call anyone names, or curse or make outlandish statements. Id like to know, i have no problem apologizing if i said/did something wrong as i have in the past. im guessing from jordans statement that this happens frequently... people giving diff viewpoints and not being taken well
