it traumatized the poor man.

only trouble is...the soviets liberated auschwitz.

surely he's not lying, he must just misremember. maybe it was a different camp, because hey, all those camps looked alike right? they were all pretty much interchangeable, right? auschwitz, dachau, sobibor, buchenwald, bergen-belsen, belzec, treblinka...c'mon, like they say:

ya see one concentration camp, you've seen them all

He simply misspoke.

It was his great-uncle who served in Patton's army in Europe, not his uncle.

Either his mother's father's brother or his mother's mother's brother.

And he didn't mean to say Auschwitz, which was liberated by the Russians.

He must have meant to say Buchenwald, Dora-Mittelbau, Flossenbürg, Dachau or Mauthausen.

I'm sure the Obama campaign will clarify the issue.

The Washington Post has a similar report, but with an important difference in their wording. Per the Post, Obama refers to an uncle who was with the first US troops to enter Auschwitz. The Post does not use the word "liberate". Neither the Post nor the CBS reporter was directly quoting Obama, and it looks like the comment must have been made in the Q&A, since it was not part of the prepared speech.

art, that's during the speech itself which lasted 10 minutes. he spoke there for over an hour.

the video will come out. unless he messiah's shock troops - the fruit of islam - either mandated that no video be taken or destroyed the video footage of the q&a.

shouldn't be too hard to verify who the first u.s. troops into auschwitz were.

cut 'em some slack, mb. i've watched these bammy events and unless your're a true believer they're about as exciting and entertaining as ben stein reading the phone book. they probably made it through the first few and dozed off.

shocking when the all-powerful, all-knowing and all-evil fox manages to miss an opportunity to vilify a black man for lying to jews.
