... well, along with hundreds of other people in the audience. it was the atlanta symphony's christmas concert, and the VON TRAPP CHILDREN were the guests. they were WONDERFUL. great individual singing voices and incredible harmony. and such nice personalities. they are 3 sisters and 1 brother, all great-grandchildren of captain von trapp. what a treat to get to hear them this evening!

On the first picture, the girl in the middle is really pretty.
it must suck to have to dress up in all that leiderhousen all the time...
Do they dress like that all the time, I wonder?

This was in Atlanta? I never heard about it. Sounds great!
in the concert, they change costumes several times ... from traditional to contemporary.
I meant in their daily lives. The original von Trapp children did.
They did, too! Didn't you see the movie?
The original kids did (Capt. Von Trapp's kids)-- I'm pretty sure of it, but today's generation probably uses those outfits as their costumes.
(Sorry if that wasn't directed toward me!)
No, they use travel clothes as their costumes. Watch the movie.
So which one's their grandparent?
Easel, I think.
their great grand-father is werner von trapp (KURT in the movie).
Then that makes them the Captain's great-great-grandchildren, not great-grandchildren as you originally stated.
my mistake ... werver is their grandfather.
So which is it -- Werner or Werver?
why don't you just go to the website and read it for yourself? since i can't seem to get it perfect for you.
Touchy!

They're as WHITE as can be!
And SM2 - it's not touchy - it's just a sincere reaction to inanity.
"They're as WHITE as can be!"
But, of course! They're Aryan, aren't they?
"And SM2 - it's not touchy - it's just a sincere reaction to inanity."
So now I'm, like, stupid?
They're as WHITE as can be!
Ewww! And I'll bet those freaks are Christians, too!

That sounds fun, turtle, and is something my sister and I would totally do (being the diehard, annoying quote-every-line-of-the-movie enthusiasts that we are!) We went to the Singalong with the Sound of Music in NYC a few years ago and had a blast.
blue, keep your eye on their schedule, and go see them if you get a chance. if you are a fan, you'll love it. they do wonderful renditions of most of the movie songs ... then they thurn around and do rocking spirituals like DOWN TO THE RIVER and SINNER MAN. they're really quite versatile.
i would LOVE to go to a singalong!
