I went through a very hard time with my eight year old cousin who had Ewings Sarcoma a rare bone cancer. She passed away and it was so sad to see her in so much pain, so I know what you are going through. Really, I do. If you ever EVER wanna talk, PM me. Dont hestitate.

You and your family and your mother, especially, are in my thoughts and prayers. :)

Thank you all for the prayers!

I talked to my dad tonight, mom had 10 hours of surgery today and is recovering hopefully. I will talk to her tomorrow.

Just talked to mom. She had a biopsy yesterday and just found out now that she has thyroid cancer. Apparently it is totally unrelated to the cancer before, and she is lucky they caught it now since signs wouldn't show up for a while yet. That means more surgery in a couple weeks. What a mess. This is deja vu from last year, this exact weekend. *sigh*

Please send good thoughts her way!

At least they caught it early.

It sounds like your mom is a very strong woman, and she will beat this.

liotte - trust me, I have been there.

My mom was very sick for a period of about 3 years - had multiple hospital stays, and in the process, in addition to her actual disease, got menagitas (not the deadly type, but still scary as all get out) and nearly died from an infected pic line (idiots kept sending her home saying it was the flu). She finally had multple surgeries and they got everything fixed.

She is now back to her annoying, crazy, nagging Jewish mother self, and boy, am I glad.

Just wait, give it a bit of time and your mom will be fine, driving you nuts just like mine is!

So, take a deep breath, get what support you can from friends and family, and hang in there. It will get better.
