starlight express is far superior than all of the sondheim musicals combined (and that includes gypsy and west side story)

andrew lloyd webber is a creative genius.....who else could think to make a musical.....with roller skates???

Ok, you liking Starlight Express, I can accept. Not caring for Sondheim, that is understandable. But to say that Starlight Express is better than ALL of Sondheim's work?!?!?!?!?!!?!? Not even the most ANAL acceptor of others opinions (i.e. me) will accept that. Starlight isn't even in the freaking American Canon!!!!!!

PS. Dirty Rotten Guy, hillarious, but please edit, we got the point, and posting in this thread is now a pain thanks to your post.

The OP choose starlight express to compare Sondheim (and it's ALL Sondheim), not even put an effort to choose a much more promising ALW show to compare.

Lestat is better than Starlight Express.

And that says something.

Lestat, Dance of the Vampires, and any other broadway vampire musical/flop COMBINED is better than Starlight Express.

Ew.

After side-scrolling for five hours, I am finally able to respond to this message.

Wow! Is this a T or F test? Because that would be a False! Sondheim is better than Starlight in every work. Even The Frogs is better than Starlight Express. Wow!

Now as soon as I find the Post Message button, you all will be able to read this post.

Oh good, I am SO glad someone finally came onto this board with some good sense in their head, Starlight Express is absolutely better than everything Sondheim has ever written.
