The following is a quote from a bio that i was reading on playbill.com:
"This is Gleason's Broadway debut. He received a BS in psychology from Saint Joseph's University in Philadelphia and "went off into the world of business for four years before taking the plunge into acting," according to his bio."
okay, so he is only the new replacement for Raoul in POTO, but regardless...i love that there are people who did the whole 4 year degree thing (like me!) who then go ahead and dive head first into acting. it makes me feel like i didn't waste time in college and that maybe someday i have a shot at still attaining what i want in a career!
college isn't a waste if time...
it's a waste of money...
If college is a waste of your time and money, then don't freakin' go. Because, if that's your attitude, it probably IS a waste. But I fail to see how four years, where your primary purpose is to read and learn new things...often on someone else's dime, could possibly be a bad thing.
like the rest of life, from the Ivy League to McDonald's part-time, you get back roughly what you put in.

If you measure your life in terms of total monetary profits, you're probably wasting it anyway.

Really good point, Plum. I myself can't wait to go to college.
