Posted: 12/15/05 at 6:16pmOh give me a BREAK. You haven't even seen all the films yet. And, I would argue that it's been a very good year that front runners in any other year were shut out of the GG BP noms.

Posted: 12/15/05 at 6:19pmYou seem to forget that a lot of films being lauded and applauded on here I have seen and not enjoyed.

BUT
1. There are quite a few films that you have yet to see that I bet you like.
2. Just because it wasn't a good year in film for you doesn't mean it was a good year in film in general. That line of thinking is trying to comprehend both a subjective and objective pov.
And I know you liked
King Kong
Crash
Harry Potter
Proof
Capote
Happy Endings
The Constant Gardener
Mysterious Skin
just to name 8. Surely there have been others you have seen and certainly you will like some that you haven't seen.

Posted: 12/15/05 at 6:27pmWell, Mr. Stubborn Difficult, I think that even if you hated EVERY film that came out in 2005, you could have a Top 10 list of the ones you LEAST hated--and that would accurately be called your Top 10 List.

Oh and Mysterious Skin was last year for me, so strike that from the list.
But if I hated every film, then by default the ten least offensive of the year would be my top ten. The problem is that the vast majority of films this year have been resoundingly average with very very few standing out worthy of inclusion on a year end best of list.

Posted: 12/15/05 at 10:21pmI'm a sucker for The March of the Penguins - I haven't seen many films this year without my 5 year old nephew, so my scope is limited.

least favorite
bee season(i saw it with my hebrew school youth group and other members of the congregation, we got info. about it before and after the movie, and it still left half the audience confused)
there are probably a ton more that i can't remember, but oh well, and sorry about the very strange catagories
