I don't know why, but the conversation of microwaving odd objects reminded me of a Working Class Hero video blog that Greg Jabara did. In it, he was discussing how he had either a hamster or gerbil with health problems and was not sure what to do with it. He asked the vet for advice. The vet was able to help by asking a simple question.
"Do you have a microwave?"
