"Is it just me, or did the last Dynamite riff sound EXACTLY like the OBCR?"
You nailed that, WillAct4Food! After watching the clip I immediately rushed off to see if Shayna Steele was in the movie. Alas, she is not.
pero, her voice is.
ok i do not like john travolta as edna, frankly, from the scenes i've seen, he's bugged the crap out of me!
is there a reason that zac and amanda presented a sneak preview thats not even them? lol i'm just sad cuz really want to hear amanda bynes sing! i was hoping for without love!
Yeah, that was kind of a disappointment (the time, not the clip).
I've gotten a little more used to Travolta with everything I see; early word (from Showest, etc.) is that you get more comfortable with him as the movie goes on and the kinda grotesque shock wears off.
Best part: Jerry Stiller scatting.
so they showed most of w260's?

Oh, everyone - stop complaining. LOL
It looks funny and fabulous. I'm sure it's going to do great at the box office. Can't wait to see the whole thing!
That clip makes me so happy. It's such a joyful number.

The DYNAMITES are sung by Kamilah Martin, Terita R Redd, and Shayna Steele. Those voices are unmistakeable.

Am I the only one who finds the vocal tracks madiningly muted for just about everything?
Why did different girls sing it than acted it?
I know that's how things used to go with movie musicals.
But now? Come on.
all the music is temp. final mixing has not been completed - or at least released in any press clips.
because the girls are hired as dancers.

No Julian. You are not. Its driving me crazy. I feel like a little old lady who is trying to hear . I'm always sticking my ear to the speaker and we have surround sound!! I know, Mateo. Its only temporary music but I'm anxious to actually hear the singing in a musical so shoot me.

Well there is some shooting going on, Mateo, and its me..... Oh shoot! I still can't hear the darn music. I'm keeping it clean but it could get ugly real soon.

Kamilah and Shayna are powerhouses, but now too old to play it onstage.. let alone on film.. and let alone ina film where they cast them young cuch as this. terita is a Motormouth cover through and through and wouldn't be age apropriate for the film either. Their voices, however, are top notch and can't be beat. NO ONE can do what Shayna does, though I DID love Anastacia McCleskey in that track.
round II
perhaps:
EDNA: YOUR MAMA'S HIP
TRACY: HIP!
EDNA: YOUR MAMA'S IN
TRACY IN MAMA!
EDNA: YOUR MAMA'S LOOKING AT HERSELF AND WONDERIN' 'WHERE YOU BEEN?'
TRACY: WHERE YOU BEEN!?
EDNA: YOU'RE MAMA'S LIT
TRACY: LIT!
EDNA: SHES ALL A GLOW
TRACY: GLOW, MAMA!
EDNA: YOUR MAMA ONCE WAS HOLDING BACK AND MAMA'S GOTTA LET GO GO GO
N/M
Did anyone else find the fireworks at the end very random?
