Wow, this is different for them!
Love it!
I really like that.
I love the slogan: "There's A Little Bit of Broadway in Everyone"
Wasn't that started last year?
Yes I have a lot of free time

I love it!
It's fresh and new, and much more exciting then the one for last year.

I love this poster! It is much better than the past 2 years.
fresh, new, and exciting. that does describe the general vibe.
guess that makes sense with shows like GLORY DAYS and IN THE HEIGHTS and PASSING STRANGE and XANADU coming to Broadway.
I like it, my first impression was "Chorus Line" mixed with "Rent".
to me, it looks like a mix between Fiddler and Mary Poppins. no idea why poppins, but it speaks to me.
i love it though. and the tagline.
cause it's true.
I like the poster.
I hope this means the telecast is taking a different turn this year.
(Tony people, c'mon! Put some money in it, or at least spend what you have well. Keep it gay! Don't forget the Broadway fans and what they'd like to see.)
I think to get ratings up, Beyonce should sing and perform all of the songs/scenes from the Tony nominated musicals AND plays.

I have to agree with the above poster. For some reason I see a little bit of Poppins in that photo (well mixed with ACL).
You mean they're not going to call it, "PATTI LUPONE Tony Awards"???????
He looks like he's tripping over TonyAwards.com
THAT is great
LOVE it.
Great artwork. I saw it about a month ago, because our company is a sponsor of the Tony Awards. I had to approve it from a legal perspective.

I heard that this year CBS is throwing out the "only the nominated" perform policy and allowing at least all the new shows to perform. I don't remember where I heard this now, but I'll be interested to see if it's true.
Ooh, I like it.
Now let's hope they introduce some new set pieces for this year's awards...like repainting the marquee drop with the current names of Broadway houses (Plymouth, Royale, Martin Beck are still on that drop, at least from last year.)
Though the new ad sort of looks like New Orleans' Zatarain's Rice ads... (smudgy red background with black silhouette of dancing trumpeter)...
Nevertheless, it's a 21st century change of pace for the Tonys.

Eh, it's nothing special.
They need to hire Norn to design the poster.
husk_charmer, you heard it from Riedel.
And it wasn't a truth, it was a prediction that he made at the start of the season.

Aha, thanks WBAF. Let's hope it's an actual prediction that comes true.

I like the poster. It looks hip.
I like it. It's not the greatest thing since sliced bread, but it's nice. It's got a splash of glamor, but it isn't all glitz. The fatigued look makes it current, yet it's simple. I really like it.
I think it definitely reflects the new "style" of Broadway that's beginning to take over.
