You never do know. Every year there are one or two "WTF?" nominations, nods that just come out of nowhere.

Last year's "WTF?" nods were (in my opinion) the Featured Actress nod for PASSING STRANGE, LITTLE MERMAID's nod for Best Lighting Design over PASSING STRANGE, etc.

The year before, one of them was Marian Seldes in DEUCE being passed over for Swoozie Kurtz from HEARTBREAK HOUSE (a production that had premiered the previous October).

(and besides, I enjoy being wrong on some things: if everything was right, it'd be boring.)

anyone who thinks N2N will be getting less than 4 acting nominations is out of there mind. Jennifer became a lock when Hilty and Block got bumped to leading.

when ducks grow thumbs then maybe my opinion will change.

I don't see how NEXT TO NORMAL could get a Scenic Design nomination.

It's scaffolding.

It's outside of buildings all across Manhattan.

I agree with Foster. The Next to Normal set consists of three levels of metal scaffolding with light bulbs, a chair, and a ktichen table.

I love the show, but its set design is not award worthy.

I do hope the lighting design is recognized, though.
