Nice to see the Next to Normal bashers all found a thread to hang out in.

I have an idea....let's nominate someone from The Story of My Life for Best Actor in a Musical!

Jerry Herman and Signature Theatre. DID I CALL IT OR WHAT!?

Lol, It is not eligible for choreography.

It actually can't be nominated though, it's Jerome's original.

Also, do people really think that title of show is going to be nominated over Shrek? Really? Sure, it was a great show (which I'm kicking myself for never seeing), but even in better years, a closed musical never outnominated a running one. It would be a great tribute, but I really don't see it happening.

On the otherhand, if it perhaps stole Billy Elliot's nomination...

"And yes, I'm kidding myself on a few of these. But a girl can dream... :) "

Based on your predictions (many of which aren't even eligible or realistic), I'd say you have a lot more dreaming to do girlfriend. re: 2009 Tony Awards Nominations Predictions

What's not eligible other than my WSS choreography goof?

And I'll stand by my [tos] nom...I saw it 4 times. One of the most entertaining shows I've EVER seen, I don't care how grassroots or minimal. Shrek was entertaining, 9 to 5 was entertaining...but neither made me want to go back and see it again. Regardless, even though Billy was incredible and likely favored to win... Next to Normal could pull an Avenue Q.

"Nice to see the Next to Normal bashers all found a thread to hang out in."

I hope this wasn't aimed at me. I sw N2N twice at Second Stage, once in DC and once on Broadway so far and I thought the show was very good with a great score and Alice Ripley is giving a fantastic performance. I just think that Aaron, Jennifer and J Robert Spencer aren't worthy of nominations. Doesn't mean I'm a basher. N2N is a MUCH better show than Shrek, ROA, Hair, PalJoey, Guys & Dolls, etc etc.

"I have an idea....let's nominate someone from The Story of My Life for Best Actor in a Musical!"

I certainly hope this wasn't aimed at me either, since everyone knows on here how much I loved STORY. And, I'm sure you know, adamgreer, that neither Malcolm nor Will are able to be nominated since the show was deemed ineligible for Tony nominations.

I correctly predicted 71 out of 116 nominations. That's 61%.

But then I got 10 extra bonus points for predicting Jerry Herman and Signature Theatre. So that's 81/116 which is 70%.

Can anyone beat that?

I got 87/116 -- 75%.

Then I get one extra point each for getting all the correct nominees in best score, best play revival, best musical revival (which everyone will get), featured actress in a musical, costume design of a play, and choreography -- so that's 6 extra points, so my total is 93.

"If there was a Mount Rushmore for Broadway scores, "West Side Story" would be front and center. It snaps, it crackles it pops! It surges with a roar, its energy and sheer life undiminished by the years" - NYPost reviewer Elisabeth Vincentelli
