Hey, everyone. This year the Pantages Theatre in L.A. announced it's 2014-2015 season in January (season right now). If time repeats itself then it will most likely announce their new 2015-2016 season NEXT MONTH.
So far, shows that are going on tour are: Matilda, Beautiful, and The Sound of Music.
Shows I hope go on tour: Hedwig, If/Then, Cabaret, Gentleman's Guide, Les Miserables, Aladdin, Heathers (not likely), & Avenue Q (still off-broadway.. but not likely)
What shows have been rumored to go on tour and what shows do you want to go on tour? (Not just L.A.)
Confirmed Tours:
Beautiful: The Carole King Musical
Matilda
The Sound of Music
Possibilities:
*Aladdin (I think that's most likely to happen during the 2016-2017 season as Tom Schumacher would like to see how the Broadway production does for at least a year)
*The Bridges of Madison County
*Bullets Over Broadway
*A Gentleman's Guide to Love & Murder (can't see how that can have a big tour)
*Les Miserables (heard from Joseph Spieldenner after the Broadway Walking Tours)
*Ragtime (Marcia Milgrom Dodge's remounting of her Broadway production)

Still waiting on that Chaplin tour :) But in all seriousness, I hope Bridges tours. Maybe the Little Mermaid? It might take awhile longer than next season though.

Gentleman's Guide should be going out in the fall.
Not sure how similar the Ragtime tour will be, scenically, for the tour as that structure would prove tricky on the road.
Aladdin, not for at least year.
Bridges, not a chance in hell.
If Once can tour, I pretty sure A Gentleman's Guide to Love & Murder can. Plus, it won the Tony for best musical as well.
I really hope Hedwig tours.
I believe the rumor is HEDWIG is currently planning a national tour with limited stops.

Well the most recent Les Mis tour ended last year, so I don't think another one will happen soon. I would think that Gentlemen's Guide would be going on tour soon due to its success.
And according to Bridges' website, the tour is going to start next fall.
That what Chaplin's site said. Now Chaplin doesn't even have a site.
Ragtime's set would totally work with the birdcage set -- it was amazing.

The is not as simple to tour as you would think, especially if they will be doing split week stops.
Who would be doing the HEDWIG tour, I wonder?
I think we'll see an ALADDIN tour before we see a MERMAID tour, sadly. I also really hope we still get a BRIDGES tour, or at least a small SF/LA/Chicago tour, like CAROLINE OR CHANGE did.
I can see NPH starring in Hedwig here in L.A. He lives here. I can only wish. I actually wouldn't mine seeing anyone as long as they can sing & act.
He does not live in LA anymore. But I think it would be terrific if he did it and if they took over the Montalban theater or something in that size.

Looks like Bridges will be happening...

DSM also produced last year's The Little Mermaid "tour," which in reality played about 3 regional houses, and with different casts. Not saying that's the case with the Bridges production, but I wouldn't be surprised.
Gents Guide, on the other hand, will be sending out a proper tour.
I'm still waiting in the Seattle area for them to tour "Motown" and "Newsies" here from this season...
Cabaret is definitely touring next year, as are Avenue Q and Little Mermaid.

@OperaBwayLover I can't tell if you're being sarcastic or not. I WOULD DIE IF CABARET GOES ON TOUR.
I am 100% serious. I did not mean to sound sarcastic (apologies if it was taken that way), and given how much I really want to see the revival of Cabaret (but do not have the funding for a NYC trip), I would not make it up.

JoseLee, for your sake, I hope the Cabaret tour opens in LA first. It would be a shame if you died before it reaches LA. :-p
@Wildcard YOU GOT ME! haha I wouldn't mind.
I'm so excited to find out the shows that are going on tour! I love the theatre so much.

I'd love a BULLETS tour. Avenue Q, Cabaret, Gentleman's Guide, and Mermaid would be lovely as well. But overall I think I'm most excited for BRIDGES.
I'm interested in seeing Bullets Over Broadway, but I don't think it will come to SF because it is a NETworks tour. Mermaid would be interesting in a revamped production. Would love to se Gentleman's Guide again because I had so much fun the first time.
I hope its a good season cause this season right has been the best EVER. All equity. Jersey Boys, Pippin, Kinky Boots, Wicked, Newsies, Motown (ehh), & Phantom..(here at the Pantages in L.A.) also Cinderella & Matilda (in a different theatre here in L.A).
I would LOVE to see Avenue Q but what would be the reason for it to tour? Kind of random. If it did tour, I might cry.
