Now we need to add "It Should Have Been You" to the new musical category

The set of rulings doesn't affect where I classified plays as "new" or "revival" - but there are acting rulings which can be discussed elsewhere.

added Something Rotten! to New Musicals. And that is not a comment on the show...yet.
Still no news on a King Charles III transfer or The Visit opening in time.

I am not very familiar with GIGI, but has there ever been a commonly-performed stage adaptation of the Lerner/Loewe musical before this?
This seems like AN AMERICAN IN PARIS to me, but I am not very familiar with the history of GIGI in this case. If there had been a commonly-done stage musical then I'd say this is like CINDERELLA and should be a revival.

Posted: 1/14/15 at 6:58pmIt was on Broadway in the '70s. I think the question is because this is a new revised version. It seems more like a SIDE SHOW situation than AN AMERICAN IN PARIS.

Ahh it was already on Broadway? It's a Revisal? That's easier: put it with SIDE SHOW in the Revival category.

So it looks like now this is everything for this season. Honeymoon and On the Town aren't closing. The Hayes and Marquis will stay vacant in the spring.
So 36 new shows(counting both Wolf Halls) and 2 special events(Illusionists and Temps/Tops).
That is down from last year's 40 shows and 4 special events.

'Gigi' definitely should go in Musical Revival.
But Heidi Thomas is eligible for writing a new Book.
