I (very sadly) think we can pretty safely add the Cort to the list of available theaters for the next season. With luck and and increase in grosses post the Tonys Awards performance Bright Star might live through the summer, but they will not be open in the fall (unless some miraculous miracle happens).
I agree about the Golden, Glass Menagerie is so far away, other play with a limited run will go in there in between.
Does anyone have an updates list of shows looking for theaters for next season?
The Cherry Orchard is a limited run ending November 27.
Roundabout also has Arthur Miller's The Price starting previews in February and another Broadway show to be announced so I assume (at least) one of those will go into the American Airlines.
I believe a play called "The Encounter" is playing the Golden in the fall. It's a transfer from London. I know The Front Page is taking the Broadhurst for the fall as well. As for the Beaumont, anyone think Bart Sher will bring his To Kill a Mockingbird there? Or maybe The Master Builder?
surprised nothing's been announcement for the Longacre considering it's been empty since February.
A Chorus Line revival played its final Broadway performance on August 17, 2008. The tour played its final performance on August 21, 2011. A new non-equity tour started in October 2012 played its final performance on March 23, 2013. Another non-equity tour launched on January 20, 2018. The tour ended its US run in Kansas City and then toured throughout Japan August & September 2018.

I ask because I happen to love a big show/small show TONY race similar to Wicked vs Avenue Q and Billy Elliot vs Next to Normal. It would be entertaining to see that same contrast play out with Great Comet and Dear Evan Hansen. "
Ehhh I actually think Comet is similar to a "little show that could." I don't know the financials, but it's the composer's first show on Broadway and it's based on a section of War & Peace, which doesn't have the modern fan-base of something based on The Wizard of Oz. It also took several years to get to Broadway. I hope it does well (I've recently become a big fan) and I think it will be an entertaining season.
"Contentment, it seems, simply happens. It appears accompanied by no bravos and no tears."
Natasha, Pierre and the Great Comet of 1812 is a big spectacular with intimacy. The show has apreciated apreciation due to the lavish and imersive set, the innovative and thrilling score, the arching story, lush costumes, lavish lighting and many other components. While the budget is most likely larger than average, it is still a little show in terms of fan base in the moment. The show does not have any tourist a traction other than the amazing material and the 3 previous iterations.
I appoligise for any spelling mistakes. I may be on my mobile. Clumsy fingers and small little touchscreen keys don't mixx. I try to spellcheck, but I may miss something.
I'd guess and say THE MASTER BUILDER will take the Lyceum. LCT likely has something planned for the Beaumont. A BRONX TALE to the Longacre? GOTTA DANCE to the Schoenfeld? I don't see FIDDLER lasting into 2017, so MISS SAIGON should be able to take the Broadway. Maybe SINGIN' IN THE RAIN to the Palace if AIP doesn't last past 2017?

Has The Humans now become an open run? I see that they have tickets on sale through 12/31. Also, what's the latest on The Bandstand? Last I heard it had plans for the fall, but I'm becoming nervous with the lack of an announcement and the scarcity of theatres.
Had The Bandstand announced fall? I only remember 17/18 season, but I could be wrong.
I got a survey from Show Score about A Bronx Tale today so something's happening there for sure. I'm just confused the announcement hasn't made it onto any of the Broadway sites yet. Maybe it's not finalized yet?

I think the press release just said the 16/17 season, but Laura Osnes has said it's shooting for the fall, and a recent BWW article on Andy Blankenbuehler also said that he would move to Bandstand this fall after Cats.
Could Spongebob take the Al Hirschfeld? I feel like Kinky Boots closing in January 2017 seems likely, especially with last week at under 60% house capacity. (Then again, I don't know what the cap is)
On Your Feet and School of Rock are less likely to close, but if they do, the Marquis and Winter Garden could also be good candidates.

If AIP closes nothing is going there until after the Nederlanders raise the theater up for that new retail store front space. From what I've heard that could take a year to complete

after seeing it at Papermill, I think the producers would be wise to NOT bring it to Broadway.

Amelie is doing another tryout run in LA, and I think the timing (December/January) would strongly indicates that they're still aiming for a spring transfer, as was previously reported
Personally I really hope they do. I had my criticisms of it when I saw the first preview in Berkeley, but the more I've thought about it this past year, the more I realized I really enjoyed it and hope it goes to Broadway.
