Well that's good news. Is there a reason why it's taking so long? I'm sure theres not an urgency being that the production is closed.
Is it a pretty complete album?

Musically it is basically complete, there is also some dialogue, but it won't be a PS Classics style album with full scenes as tracks.

I also think this will lose them sales....sure, us diehards will jump and purchase no matter when its released...but the casual fan? It's possibilitiy has long fallen off their radar

While waiting for this release here is a 20-minute recording from the Guthrie Theater's summer production starring Randy Harrison as Georges and Erin Mackey as Dot. With Musical Director Mark Hartman, Harrison and Mackey spoke with Classical MPR's John Birge about their artistic passion for Sondheim. And they sang the title song from the show, along with "Finishing the Hat" and "Move On."

I feel like losing sales is fine, especially because it sounds like they're looking to get a Grammy nod! And, most likely, a win, considering Gyllenhaal's involvement. Which delights me to no end. I can't wait to live in a world where Annaleigh is two awards away from EGOT status.

I think it's pretty safe to say that is DEH's award to lose.

One produce an album to make money. If winning awards was what mattered to the producing team, do you think they would have dropped out of the Tony race?
If be surprised if DEH didn't win as well.
