I would be really happy if this was considered. I thought this was one of the best things I saw in 2017 and I was hoping that it would transfer in at some point.

I'm surprised that Levenson hasn't been considered for a Pulitzer yet. He's one of the best dramatists of the 21st century, in my humble opinion.

I'd put my money on any of the following:
The Treasurer
Is God Is
Mary Jane
The Low Road (though it did premiere at the Royal Court in London in 2013 so eligibility is a question)
The Antipodes
Napoli, Brooklyn
Junk
After the Blast
Cost of Living (premiered at Williamstown in 2016 so eligibility?)
For Peter Pan on Her 70th Birthday (eligibility?)

Does anyone know the date of when this is announced, or a estimate.

2017 Pulitzer winners were announced on April 10.
2016 Pulitzer winners were announced on April 18.
2015 Pulitzer winners were announced on April 20.

I'd be pretty shocked if Napoli, Brooklyn or For Peter Pan were even nominated, much less won.

Announcement coming this afternoon! Any final predictions?
Personally I'm pretty stumped. I threw out some guesses earlier in the thread, but I don't think there are any really obvious frontrunners.

I'm really hoping for If I Forget by Steven Levenson. It's one of his best works yet.

My prediction is for sure MARY JANE, as it's my favorite of all the aforementioned plays.

I don't think any of those rose above being "fine."

Agreed. I had major problems with Cost of Living and Everybody being a finalist is just baffling.

Posted: 4/16/18 at 3:59pmI thought COST OF LIVING was the best play I saw last year and explored issues of disability and class that most theatrical works hardly touch. Its win makes perfect sense to me.

Having a New York production isn't a necessity.

Having finally gotten around to reading COST OF LIVING, I am honestly shocked that it won. I am all for plays that don't explain everything, but it feels like I read an unfinished script. I am also glad that this play provides two opportunities for disabled actors, but I wish it were in service of a better show. Maybe it plays better on stage, but now I'm slightly more miffed that IF I FORGET by Steven Levenson wasn't even considered.
