I'd also add that, even if I might admit that the pure entertainment value of the performances is often questionable, the parade is one of the bigger opportunities in a given year for the average American to see any kind of Broadway performance - probably the biggest opportunity in terms of viewership. As such, the content and quality of each performance is definitely something worth talking about on a Broadway discussion board.

Has anyone gotten any word on how the SIX performance is going to work? Did they pre-record from the Lena Horne (like CBS used to do), or are they just showing an old press clip from months before?

Looks like it was pre-recorded at the Lena Horne (gotta love the bleeping of "prick" lyric)... but show looks to be in terrific shape with very talented cast of queens at the moment

Ragtime was my favorite performance, Nichelle's vocals have gotten stronger
Loved the Ragtime performance. I can't wait for the cast album!
Thoughts:
BUENA VISTA SOCIAL CLUB - When did Justin Cunningham leave the show? I believe I saw a new Juan de Marcos. The show made good-not-great use of the vast space in front of Macy's, I feel like there should have been a bit more space for the excellent choreography to flow. (Tables signifying the "social club" were on opposite corners.) Regardless, the band is shredding, Isa looks gorgeous, and Natalie is fantastic as always. Though it is a little weird hearing "Candela" without the flute solo, Renesito killed it with the tres. Loved how everyone was leaning in to hear him rock out. See this one, folks, the energy is infectious.
RAGTIME - Wow. WOW WOW WOW. Joshua freakin' Henry. The wall of sound from this company reverberating far past Herald Square, they definitely took "Make Them Hear You" to heart. January 9 can't come soon enough.
JUST IN TIME - The decision to have Groff start this morning's performance singing live was a curious one, and it backfired IMO as he went a little flat on "Beyond the Sea" several times. I hope that doesn't deter a lot of people from seeing this in his final weeks, from everything I've heard he is absolutely fantastic at Circle in the Square. Elsewhere, Sarah Hyland and Sadie Dickerson sound FAB together, good replacement choices for Gracie and Erika.
SIX - Meanwhile, over on CNN, I got my first real taste of the current "Ex-Wives" at the Lena Horne. They're quite good as a collective unit, even if Gianna Yanelli (as Boleyn) didn't exactly blow me away. Also, did the telecast really have to go to a split-screen for most of this performance?
Elsewhere:
Cynthia Erivo started the parade on a "good" note. THE ROAR OF THE GREASEPAINT - THE SMELL OF THE CROWD representation!
Christopher Jackson sighting, back with the Sesame Street gang. Looking and sounding fresh.
Meg Donnelly looked good on her float today. (Has anyone here seen her in MOULIN ROUGE! yet?)
And it was very nice to see the CHORUS LINE tribute in front of Macy's.
Okay, signing off for today. Happy Thanksgiving everyone :)

Ragtime is not closing in January. TIckets are currently on sale into June of 2026.
