So it’s that time of year again…the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade and with it finding out which shows will perform. Currently my guess is Ragtime, The Queen of Versailles, Two Strangers (Carry a Cake Across New York) and Chess.
My guess is RAGTIME, MAMMA MIA!, BEETLEJUICE, JUST IN TIME, and BUENA VISTA SOCIAL CLUB.
Not Broadway, but it was already announced that Baayork Lee will stage a performance of ONE from A Chorus Line featuring NYC public school students and alumni. But I assume that might not be a full song shown on the parade, just a snippet.

MJ is casting dancers. Maybe they’re doing a flash mob instead of a traditional performance.
Who truly cares about this crap?! It’s lip-synced and every performance and choice of song gets dissected and criticized on here. WTF are people expecting? It’s an abridged musical number performed using a pre-recorded track on a carpeted performance space in front of Macy’s. Nothing more. So much more important things to do Thanksgiving morning than having my ass planted in front of a TV.

If you don't care, that's your prerogative. As a kid who did not grow up in NYC, I loved watching the numbers from the Broadway shows. Then, my own kids grew up watching these. I live in NYC now (as do they as adults), and I still just watch the Broadway numbers of the parade. I think it is a great opportunity for those who cannot get to NYC or can't afford a Broadway ticket to be exposed, and it is also great for these shows to have this exposure to a huge audience. And I imagine for those who are in the parade or Broadway numbers, it is a thrill. Nobody is forcing you to watch.
You mention that the parade performances will get dissected here. So, do performances on the Great White Way. What else is new?
You mention you have better things to do on Thanksgiving. So, do those things. I am not interested in the football games on TV on Thanksgiving but I don't begrudge those who watch them.

You've wasted time on this website since the dawn of time and you're judging others for what you feel is a waste of time? Lol

The Great Gatsby, Operation Mincemeat, Buena Vista Social Club, Ragtime, Two Strangers
Mincemeat, BVSC, Ragtime, Two Strangers.
It’s usually only around 4 shows anyway and this seems like the likeliest bunch to me. Two large shows and two smaller shows.
God help me if they decide to put up MAMMA MIA or BEETLEJUICE
MJ is definitely performing because they’re looking for dancers: https://www.instagram.com/reel/DQXmfhhj4DI/?igsh=bzNvejJ2bWQ4Z2Rs

Unless they're planning to tour Ragtime (which I don't believe is the case), then I have no idea why they would perform on the parade. The show is mostly sold out and is closing beginning of January. Why would they waste the money to perform on the parade?

Probably all of those living in middle-America who don't have ease of access to Broadway, those who crave the ability to see whatever they can from Broadway because can't just hop on the subway and catch a show tonight.
I'm really hoping that Slam Frank will do "Safe Space."

MJ must be doing something big for the parade. Maybe a large performance of Thriller and they want more dancers? The Great Gatsby wanted to perform on the parade last year, I could see them doing it this year. I believe Ragtime is extending, it’s selling so well.
I know it's not on Broadway, but many people won't know, or care (because they don't know)...
I want to see a "The Baker's Wife" medley. Maybe a bit of "Chanson", "Buzz-a-Buzz", and certainly, "Meadowlark".
Call me crazy, but while they’re not in shows together, I’d love a Groff/Michele medley.
Seems to be only 3 this year:
BVSC, Ragtime, and Just In Time

Many people don't have access to Broadway or can travel here. It's exciting for many people, so feel free to change the damn channel. Jesus.
Wonder why Just in Time is bothering to perform. They’re already selling out and only running for another few months after the parade.
