Lost Boys may get some nominations but I just don't see it winning much at all, if any - and it's very slim pickings in the new musical category. Two Strangers still has my vote. It's still the most complete of the shows - and the "little show that could" narrative works well for it.
We know you have it out for Lost Boys, but Two Strangers doesn't have the buzz. It is a little show that could but never did. It's nominations also aren't consistent because it isn't heavily adored.

No. It's just not my taste (or others on here). We know you are attached to Lost Boys though - snd worried about my opinion.

Interesting. Largest number of nominations, musicals
2024 - Dead Outlaw - 9 nominations. 3 wins.
2025 - Death Becomes Her - 12 nominations. 3 wins.
2023 - New York New York - 12 nominations. 2 wins. (sets/costumes).
These awards are really not strong indicators either.

Actually I'm not attached to Lost Boys. I don't think it's the strongest of the season. But unlike you, I don't spent every other post trying to smear things I don't like. I can say what I like without trying to undercut people. You should try it. The boards would be better for it.

Death Becomes Her was 2025. Dead Outlaw was nominated in 2024 for its off-Broadway run.

and no Mark Strong ?"
Think these nongendered categories don't help the women, especially if they're sharing the stage with equally brilliant performers. Still think Levy is a lock for a tony nom. And still think she is the front runner."
Jessica over Caissie and others is crazy. sorry. Also all blokes in the featured broadway musical and no look in for any women!! this is where i have issues with the non gendered categories. at the very least if you are going to do this increase the number of nominees.

Curious if Caissie will get a drama desk nom next week since she is competing against her two male costars. Seems like with these smaller awards, she’s at a disadvantage sharing the stage with two other brilliant performers.

And yeah, I loved The Lost Boys, but it has an uphill climb in the big categories because it's a campy vampire musical. Not everyone has a lot of respect for horror, let alone a musical with Elviras and Draculas popping out of the closet or rainbow superheroes in spandex. I'd love to be proven wrong, but Schmigadoon and Two Strangers fall more in line with typical winners."
I’ve always been one for bucking the typical… I thoroughly enjoyed two strangers and was rooting for it… Lost Boys and that amazing charismatic cast and the incredible sets and the rock and camp and all of it totally changed my mind. That is just what I love about Broadway. I have no skin in the game, but wish I did because I am totally blown away the more I see of it.
LB is the Best Musical this year…period.

I can’t imagine anyone beating out Christopher Abbott come Tony season for best supporting actor. it was a stunning performance.
