Just in Time - Matt Morrison?
 Dec 28 2025, 06:21:39 PM
I think he’s trying to reemerge with the recent SNL and Cameo response- she seems to have some fans in his corner. I’m all for it. I’ll leave my thoughts to myself on the other rumor..

Maybe we need to give someone else a turn.

Rumor: BEACHES opening at the Majestic this season
 Dec 27 2025, 08:29:26 PM

I’ve been meaning to come back to this for a while because I am genuinely excited for Beaches and I do believe that there are others like me out there. I want this show to succeed because it is a childhood love and the story has been a big part of my life. I was excited the first time I heard that this was in the works and I’m still excited. I want you all to know that I think there are a lot of women (and some men) like me- mid 40s -50s who have spending power

I'm hearing that was the original plan, but ALW has backed off on an initial vote of confidence at least practically the eleventh hour (shades of

MAYBE HAPPY ENDING Reviews

THIS - I think the stunt casting was purely because of their real life romance. Helen herself probably agreed to this option. She is the one they honestly can’t lose at this point… and not brushing any of this under the rug, but this is an act of desperation. Unfortunately this might just be enough to close the show this feels very similar to Jagged Little Pill at the moment.

Saving BOOP? #SAVEBOOP?

Is it that terrible, though… I had no interest in seeing it.. then my daughter talked me into it and it was just so colorful and fun and yes, corny and cartoonish as heck- but I was absolutely delighted. and maybe that was always the point- fun. We walked out with armloads of merch and had a blast.

My comment on the “cheaper tickets to grow the audience” was that I think you need word of mouth to help certain shows- getting more exposure to gain a following could hel

Wow, thanks for such a thoughtful and well-written series of responses. Logically, I know all this.

Maybe I looking more for an answer to what works to help drive ticket sales vs. not… why does it work sometimes and not others?

I know that there are major problems with the book, but I saw BOOP with my daughter last night and I can’t stop thinking of the color as the tap dancing and the talented cast. I do believe that is the type of show that I wish every kid in America could see and fall in love with. A month extension with some cheaper summer tickets aimed at families could do that.

Has a show ever been “saved” after a closing announcement and is there anyone else who w

Hugh Jackman to hold 12-performance concert series at Radio City Music Hall
 Jun 22 2025, 08:01:29 AM

I saw this yesterday after having no interest, but got super cheap orchestra tickets and thought it might be a fun break from the 90-degree heat.

i enjoyed it more than I expected- I love Les Mis and Greatest Showman and he has a fun personality. It was great hearing some Sinatra covers in Radio City and his backup singers were incredible. The recent Berkkee ) grad who had her first job (Nina Holland singing  Never Enough brought me to tears. Someone to watch for.<

So I am one of the biggest Idina fans of all time. Saw If/Then while pregnant more times than I care to admit and my kid came out singing. Said kid is in acting class all day on Sundays so I am trying to catch up on shows.

I wanted to love everything about  this… and I loved parts of it- seeing one of my favorites whose voice still moves me… cool projections and a new concept.

i just think there are a few tweaks in the dialogue and with a sil

Last night (4/was one of the best nights of theater in NY I have experienced. I can't even describe the outpouring of heartfelt joy from the audience. I haven't laughed like that in a really, really long time. This is truly a recessionary show and I believe it will stike a chord with a lot of those slaving away in corporate america right now. The rules have been thrown out the window and a lot of people will find release in this show. It's always interesting to see how a lot really hasn't changed since the 70's. I really suggest they find a way to market this to working stiffs. It will be a hit. a huge one. And the timing is ideal.

Last night's audience was DEFINITELY one of the most responsive that i have ever been a part of.I almost felt as if people wanted to yell out "Way to go Steph" or "You really nailed that one Allison." We all were just cheering the girls and "our girls" on. I can't add much about the performances-- they sparkled, often literally.

Although for the tony argument-- Alison Janney is my hero-- she's clearly not the best singer in the world,in fact she's often flat. I think at times she was shaking her own head at some of the notes she had to hit. But she PLOWS THROUGH, clearly loving her job and being Violet-- hers is the performance I remember the most. She is so gutsy- daring the audience - almost ok, yeah I'm not a power belter-- but I sure can act, and I'm as funny as hell...and act she does. She made me want to be a braver person, to take clear risks-- and for that, I believe-- she ultimately deserves the Tony.

I also wanted to comment on SJB's subtle movements during "her moment." Perfect, spot on-- when she closes the door and throws down Dick's shirt-- every moment is well directed and full of emotion. She nails the song and the feelings we have all felt in our lives and truly hits it home.

Megan, Marc and the entire rest of the cast was divine. As was the set. My only real complaint is that the acoustics were terrible and it probably varies by seat. I was third row and I didn't feel as if it was loud enough. Maybe my ipod has ruined my expectations in that regard. What a night! Now I'm off to my 9 to 5, but this show has lifted my spirits and is helping e face the day!

Unfortunately horrors like tragic, untimely deaths provide appeal and feed a curiosity factor in humans- particularly when a celebrity is involved. Anyone who lives in NYC knows that you don't go to Lennox Hill if you are fighting for your life. You go to Lennox Hill for the stomach flu. It was clearly a lost cause and they were out for blood. For the story. If it bleeds it leads.

I live right by the hospital and was absolutely disgusted by the paps, but admittedly I was also concerne

don't diss fox.. look at 24. Also, lots of singers out there. I was in a conference call today and this super respected managing director at my firm grabbed a mic reserved for the call and pretended that she was going to belt. I have a Rent poster at my desk. Someone in the room mentioned Avenue Q and the room erupted. People are freaking scared right now, losing jobs, looking for small signs. I honestly think Glee could do ok. People are looking for silly, looking for middle school.
