Of course, Benko had a solid reputation by the time Michele replaced Feldman, and many, many people enjoyed her Fanny. Benkoplayed the role 180 times, a formidable accomplishment in such a star-challenged revival."

Clearly, unless they have a comparable star lined up, this show's longevityisn't a sure thing. Because I saw it last week without her, I'm doublysurprised. I'm a longtime Chess-o-phile yet to me the character remains the least interesting, the one that doesn't change su

I will forever miss the love triangle dream ballet. it was one of the most beautiful dances I have ever seen and best use of that weird choral music of any production of Chess. And Casey Garvin was GOD-like in it.
I am anticipating this album with baited breath! WHEN???? Anthem on repeat for me."

To start with -- this show concept is fundamentally broken. While an a

I still think the show is just way too long...I don't think they did any changes from previews to final."
They did. I believe they cut about 20 minutes out of the show during previews including a scene with Florenc

Truly bizarre piece of theater. Bryce Pinkham is lively and as close to interesting as we get, even with the wince-worthy jokes about RFK Jr et al. His big number in Act 1 was

Neither Lea or Hannah have had any unscheduled absences. Nik's first unscheduled absence was the Sunday of the snowstorm.

Agreed. Also Ragtime took six weeks from announcement to release so I still say mid March at latest.

I was just doing a bit of a look back and the Funny Girl cast recording was released about three weeks after they recorded it ( clocked that date from ensemble members talking about doing something exciting that day) and then it was released about a day after Lea announced it in stage.

OPERATION MINCEMEAT Reviews Jan 9 2026, 05:01:38 PM
I fell in love with Operation Mincemeat last year via the cast recording and then watching their performance at the Oliviers after I started to do a deep dive into all things Operation Mincemeat.
When it was announced they were coming to Australia I was very excited and asked my bestie if she would come too after playing my fave song , Useful, to her in the car. She said yes as a friend had seen it in London and enjoyed it.
Funnily enough, my bestie and I were

I've not seen it obviously being on the other side of the world but I enjoyed the London cast recording so I hope it does turn into this season's little show that could.

Re Chess, the only week its hit 100% capacity was the first week and yet they have broken the Imperial Box office record twice and they've never gone below $1.7M, and their lowest week of capacity was 91% which was weeks ago i dont think they are too worried.
Especially when you consider in the last month theyve not had all three of the main cast in every night of the week given Nik had one scheduled absence, Lea's had two scheduled absence and Aaron's had two unsched
