Next to Normal Broadway Transfer Fall 2026

Kad said: "If the clue was “a certain recent breakout star with a Tony nom,” then the person who makes the most sense is Hannah Cruz."

Except Hannah has made it very clear she's more interested in doing plays than musicals going forward.  She's said on multiple occasions that she actually doesn't love singing and Maria doesn't seem the sort of role she'd go for given all that she's said in her interviews I've read and watc

Broadway Grosses: Week Ending 5/10/26

Re Chess, Lea was out four performances this week due to laryngitis and bronchitis hence why it went down this week.

As for Every Brilliant Thing, any guesses how the box office numbers will go with Mariska Hargitay when Dan leaves? I know she has a big TV following ( my niece is a big SVU fan) but can she sustain those numbers?

Broadway's Most Bankable Star?

Chess isundoubtedly helped a lot by Lea being in it, but after 6 months its starting to flag a bit and there clearly aren't the same number of people willing to see her in something less obvious.

Just in Time is the first time Jonathan has shown that he can bring box office to a show as Merrily was mostly about Dan.

Lea rescued FG and made it a hit and Chess only got to open because of her and the fact that it opened big and

CHESS (2025 Broadway Revival) Reviews

Telecharge has Lea marked out today and tomorrow so she's clearly sick and I saw a rumour Lea has bronchitis which makes sense with the longer absence and her having been off for the Saturday matinee and being said to be struggling on Sunday.

yeah Nik is out for two weeks end of July early August and Aaron is out two weeks mid August so most of August is Jojo and the understudies.  the understudies for both guys are terrific but g

No she was not scheduled to be out tonight. It must be that she's upset not being nominated a TONY. Seems obvious enough!

I do wonder if people who perform for a living and know how complicated the score of Chess is ( Lea has said its more challenging vocally than Funny Girl because of the constant switching of genres she has to do, Aaron has joked when he was at college nobody ever chose to sing from Chess as it was too complicated) might have some more appreciation when nominating the likes of Lea and even Hannah and Aaron than some here who seem to not value a vocal performance in a role ( i happen to th

I will bet that HB will be the audience pleaser. I saw it 3 times 60 years ago, and there were multiple showstoppers at every performance. I recently played the castrecording for the first time in a long while, and find it on repeat because it is so enjoyable. I personally think that the score is much better than Kiss. I have never liked Charlie

First, the sound design was infinitely much better and I could understand most of the lyrics in the group numbers. They also amped up the lead vocals' mics so they didn't get drowned out by the orchestra.

Second and, obviously, 6 months after previews the whole cast

When the Arbiter (Bryce Pinkham) made the Biden joke I felt my eyes roll to the back of my head. So it was overall really dumb. The CIA and KGB stuff was ridiculous too.

The Russian accents were horrific. Maybe I'm just spoiled because I saw Heated Rivalry and then Ponies, and the actor

im very interested how this turns out. I had to read the book at school and every Australian around my age remembers the movie. When we were young we thought it was a true story of the girls going missing!

yes you have a point. I was a teenager when the movie came out, it was a hit but that was a long time ago and I've not seen it in high rotation in streaming services in Australia,  not sure about the US, so you'd have to mostly see it as nostalgia for ( and i hate to put it like t

Not necessarily. The mainstream masses are unfamiliar with Broadway though they have heard the titles, which are basically the huge selling points on touring shows. They are unaware of the gossip and a show’s history, etc. This tour will attract fans of the film, which is enormously loved. Of course, they’re in for a big surprise when none

THE LOST BOYS Reviews

There are 800-odd voters and critics make up a statistically irrelevant part of that body and frankly reviews a whole don’t matter much unless there is overwhelming consensus in either direction, positive or negative. Agreed.  I've seen
