Was wondering if anyone has sat in these seats before. I want to see Andrea Martin before she leaves but I'm a tad on the broke side at the moment. I know the theater isn't too big, but do you get a full view of the stage? Do you feel like you're too far away? Any feedback would be wonderful! :)
If you're broke and want to have an amazing view of the stage, I seriously recommend doing standing room. It's such a small orchestra that you really get an AMAZING view of the stage for very little money.
I know that they were huge sticklers on standing room earlier in the run but I haven't heard of anything lately... Are they selling it after every show now? Was thinking of going on the 18th matinee.
Telecharge? They are in the last two rows of the mezz.
Just checked and all of the mezzanine were $146.00 for Sept. 22nd... Maybe they've been raised for Andrea Martin's final? Telecharge seemed kinda slow and glitchy so maybe I should check later...
I sat in the mezzanine, but I second what Jordan said. I stood at the back of the orchestra at intermission, and the view was BEAUTIFUL.
Standing room is raised just enough so that you're elevated above everyone else sitting and totally level to the stage. And it's just far enough back that with the scope of the show, you get a brilliant view of everything happening at the same time on the stage.
I saw the show on Sunday I sat in row L seat 2 in the mezz. The view was wonderful! It's a great show and I would highly suggest seeing Andrea Martin! She is stellar!
I've never done a standing room that wasn't as good as or superior to rush or the cheapest seats.
I was sat there when I saw the show and I thought the view was great, there was only one moment where anything was missed, but it wasn't anything significant! I don't know how they compare to SRO though!

The theatre is so small, I can't imagine a bad seat in the house, however, on the extreme sides of the orchestra the boxes seem to overhang a bit. I wonder if anyone had a problem with that?
Anyhow, if you can get in for $59, go for it, and congratulations if you succeed.
it doesn't seem like the show is selling out as much as it was anymore, so I think your chances at SRO might be pretty slim.

Just saw it this afternoon in the last row on the left side of theater. Fantastic view, you miss nothing and you don't feel far at all from the stage. I've also done standing room, which, of course, is cheaper and the view is just as swell as previously mentioned. In case it might be important, I actually bought these 4 $59 tix this past Friday night. Maybe that was luck, but they seem to be popping up all of a sudden.

Kad - I agree with you, with one catch. Standing Room at the Marquis is pretty miserable - behind the end of the mezzanine, multiple columns to contend with depending on the position you get.
Fortunately there's always discounts for whatever's at the Marquis!
