As I said in the other thread, ideally the featured nominations would be:
Erin Davie
Heather Laws
Barbara Walsh
Mary-Louise Wilson
Karen Ziemba
I believe Luker or Orfeh might take Davie's place though. Heather Laws is very likely to get a nomination, she stopped the show not only with her song but with her entire scene and even with her line in Act II: "I didn't even believe that myself."

I like your predictions, but I'd much rather have Orfeh over Erin Davie.
But the thread isn't who you'd like to see Mungo. It's about who you think will get nominated.
I don't know about Balgord getting a nomination. Her show was universally panned, and there are enough people this year to fill the category.
I think:
Mary Louise Wilson
Barbara Walsh
Orfeh
Karen Ziemba
Erin Davie/Heather Laws/Rebecca Luker

I would love to see Rebecca Luker snag a Best Featured Actress slot :)
Barbare Walsh's LADIES WHO LUNCH was such a disappointment when I saw COMPANY.
And I love that song, Balgord knocked me out.
Balgord
Luker
Orfeh
Wilson
Ziemba
in alphebetical order.
As much as I hated Les Miz, I would predict that Celia has a much better shot getting nominated than Balgord. Also, Natalie Cortez has a better shot for ACL. Heck, I think Capathia Jenkins has a better shot for a nomination than Balgord does. I am not saying that any of them will get nominated, but they would be given a spot sooner than Balgord. I think wonderfulwizard more or less has this one right.
I liked Jenkins a lot too, and the other Women in FAME

So who do you guys feel will win the Drama Desk Award for Best Actress? With Ebersole not being eligible, it's quite wide-open. It'll be like their version of the Tony since the Tony already has Ebersole's name engraved.

I was very disappointed that Lea Michele was put in the lead category. I'd nominate her if it was just up to me, even though I think she belongs in the featured category (as does Debra Monk).
I don't know why I have such negativity about Legally Blonde. Every time I read that Laura Bell Bundy will get a nomination, I wince (for no real reason, I suppose)...
I loved Charlotte d'Amboise in A Chorus Line! I hope she gets a nomination (in the featured actress category).

I think the Drama Desk will go either to Chenowth or McDonald.

I'm still holding out for Lea Michele to get a nomination.
All of the awards leading up to the Tonys will go to McDonald. No question about it. Audra was flawless.

I know that good show v. bad show doesn't mean that much in terms of whether a performer gets nominated--but if one show seems to stand out in numbers of nominations (like the Producers did--when Janine LaManna was WAY better in Seussical (the best part of the show) than Cady Huffman was)I think it could affect certain people's chances at nominations, since this is such a crowded year in so many categories.
If Spring Awakening gets showered with nominations, I wouldn't rule out Lea Michelle from Best Actress. If the same happens to Grey Gardens, I wouldn't rule out Erin Davie (I personally wouldn't rule her out anyway).
As for Curtains--if anybody gets nominatd in featured actress, it should be Megan Sikora. She was nominated for the LA Ovation award and (IMO) should win the Astaire award for female dancer, although Charlotte D'amboise might have that wrapped up. In terms of a triple threat performance--Sikora takes it for Curtains. How she holds up against the rest of the season could be another story.
As far as Legally Blonde goes...All Shook Up was a show that everyone enjoyed, got fairly positive reviews, had leads that did great work--and we all know how many nominations that show got. I wouldn't be counting any blonde chickens just yet.
EDIT/afterthought: If Orfeh gets nominated over Megan Sikora--no justice, no peace.

If Laura Bell Bundy gets nominated for Best Actress I will be highly distressed. I saw the show this week and it was like someone told her to say all of her lines feally fast so that none of them were funny. She missed all of her laugh lines, didn't have NEARLY enough energy, charisma or personality to reach all the way to the back of the house, and didn't even impress me with her voice. Kate Shindle got all of the good notes in that show.
I'm going with Musto's predictions from back in the fall:
McDonald
Murphy
Chenoweth
Monk
Ebersole

I'm hoping Drama Desk is:
1.Ashley Brown - her only nomination for this role and I'd love for her to walk away from this role with some sort of award recognition / if not, it'll go to Laura Bell Bundy
2.Lea Michele
3.Kristin Chenoweth
4.Debra Monk
5.Donna Murphy
6.Audra McDonald
with a Outer Critics Circle of:
1.Kristin Chenoweth
2.Stephanie J. Block - they always through in a curve ball
3.Donna Murphy
4.Audra McDonald
and a Tony of:
1.Christine Ebersole
2.Kristin Chenoweth
3.Lea Michele - if not, Laura Bell Bundy since Debra Monk's part just doesnt compare in stature to those of the other nominees
4.Donna Murphy - if not, Stephanie J. Block since she's one of the only saving graces of The Pirate Queen
5.Audra McDonald
Michele has no chance at a nomination. Her part is too small.

It's not how big it is, it's how you use it.
Yes, but it's easier to make a bigger impression in a bigger part.

With the recent annoucement of the Outer Critics Circle Award nominations:
Ashley Brown, Mary Poppins
Kristin Chenoweth, The Apple Tree
Audra McDonald, 110 in the Shade
Donna Murphy, LoveMusik
Is Ashley Brown a better contender for the 5th spot, since most people debate that Monk's part is too small and Bundy just doesn't give the star quality?
Where's Christine Ebersole in there? She's going to be nominated for sure.
I think after OCC:
Christine Ebersole
Kristin Chenoweth
Audra McDonald
Donna Murphy
Still say Laura Bell Bundy stands a shot, but Ashley's moving up on my list
Broadway Legend Joined: 4/8/07
Those were just the Outer Critics Circle nominations...Christine will definitely be on the list. I'm now filled with hope (perhaps false hope) that it will now be:
1. Ashley Brown, Mary Poppins
2. Kristin Chenoweth, The Apple Tree
3. Christine Ebersole, Grey Gardens
4. Audra McDonald, 110 in the Shade
5. Donna Murphy, LoveMusik
Christine isn't eligible for any of the awards leading up to the Tony's because she was nominated, and won, all the awards except the Tony last year.
EDIT: This will probably be the only award Ashley Brown is nominated for. I'm sorry but look at those nominations for Mary Poppins. Disney paid somebody. I know other shows that could have taken their spots in certain nominations.
