They're crazy high. The last row in the mezzanine is either $97 or $107 depending on the performance.
Has any show other than Mormon ever charged over $100 for the last row of the theater? That must be some kind of record.
All the way back at the Imperial isn't a bad view for most shows, but it's not a great place to see 700 Sundays.
Yeah, that really makes me sad because it's the one show I wanted to see this season more than anything else. Seeing it in 2005 was such an amazing experience and it's a shame I won't get to experience it again. I asked at the theater and they won't be doing a rush or standing room, either. And the guy told me not to expect any discounts at all for the show.
no rush or lottery or standing room. that really sucks. The Imperial does have standing room. maybe they'll change their minds.
He said because of fire safety codes or something they won't be doing standing room.
ACL,
Although it does appear that The Imperial can do SRO, the guy at the box office is correct. While it may look like they can do SRO due to there being that wall in the rear of the last row of the orchestra, there aren't any numbers there. The box office guy is correct in saying that The Imperial can't offer standing room due to it not getting the go ahead from the fire department. It's misleading because it looks like it can and should be done, but I heard the same story (and remember not seeing the little signs with the SRO spots on them) during my many trips to Billy Elliot.
But, in any event with regards to rush or lack thereof, isn't it a little too early for the producers to announce if there's going to be a rush or not? Just wondering.

Hmm, good to know... I was shocked by the prices but figured I'd just do SRO.... ack.
Shocked by Broadway prices
Who would have thought. Would not pay even it I were still working. _
^You are not shocked, Roxy.
Supply and demand, supply and demand. As long as they can get their asking price, there won't be any reason to offer bargains -- just like everything else in the world.

You have to remember, Roxy is absolutely 100% pro-free market capitalism. Except for all the occasions he isn't.
I think once they see how it's selling they'll offer discounts, etc.
