This is not "truly a scam." A scam isa dishonestscheme to gain money from someone fraudulently. There is no fraud here. They charge $9 for a soda, your friend voluntarily gave them the money, and they in turn gave him a can of soda. A product was offered for sale, the full price waswillingly paid, and the product wasdelivered exactly as advertised. If you like you can make the argumentthat it's anoutrage or bad behaviorto charge thatmuch for one can ofsoda, but just because you don't like the price doesn't mean anyone was scammed in the purchase process.
